I prefer the president just because I didn't feel enough love from Ryoji except from the occasional display of jealousy and the way they started their relationship is the worst... he would've been eventually happier with the gentle president

i agree with you too, it's the first time i read a yaoi manga and wished the uke to be with someone else ( the president) the seme was really a jerk i didn't feel any love from him toward the uke
Basically, they don't end up together for good since they only get together when Al is in Japan which doesn't happen often and honestly, when they have yakuza children marry each other it's to strengthen the bonds between the families so they'll eventually have to produce a heir so even if they don't like each other romantically now, eventually they will to some degree since they'll have a kid and they'll have to raise it together...
Basically the ending feels like, him and Al's relationship will last for another couple of trips that Al makes to Japan and that's it, that is if it can even be called a relationship...
I kept reading while hoping that they'll get divorced by the end or that the two lovers will escape since yakuza can't accept him divorcing and taking a man as his lover...
Anyways, good art and the story itself isn't bad but the ending was horrible

Thats why i guess they have an open ending. If they were to extend the manga, its probably not gonna be only few chapters.
