I wish we got to see what happened in the novel after they meet up at the hospital I’ve seen the spoilers of what happens in the manhwa and it’s not nearly all that happened. from what I remember from the mtl I read it was honestly difficult for Mc to accept Kim shin after like the trauma really messed him up, like he did escape from the hospital and when Kim shins guards chased him he ran he couldn’t think straight he was back in the moment where he got abducted, then Kim shin showed up and he continued to run like he even ran thru traffic I think, but this part was sad he didn’t feel like he was good enough for shin, and finally Kim shin does catch up to him and he’s like why are you running away from me, please talk to me. Once that gets resolved a bit..yeon woo still I think acted a bit distant, regardless Kim shin didn’t give up and they finally got together. Then Kim shin took him to his apartment and I think he didn’t wanna let him out for awhile? I’m not too sure but I think he wasn’t able to move much anyways cuz of how hurt he was. But the grandpa and his secretary would come by and act like they only just met him but the secretary did get on my nerves cuz he’d get like angry if mc acted confused on why they were acting like they didn’t know each other.
Anyways that happens for awhile until Mc’s mom comes over to visit cuz mc hasn’t been responding to like messages since his phone was broken(?) but he did get a new one? I don’t really remember I just know she comes to visit and he didn’t want to worry her so he tried to make her leave but she’s like I need to make sure you’re safe. And so he meets her and she sees him like hurt and idk how she found out about Kim shin but she dislikes him, she blames him for what happened to her son. I think..tbh it’s been awhile since I read it I just know she tells mc to break up with Kim shin, but mc doesn’t want to so he sneaks off to meet Kim shin, the funny thing is Kim shin would always just be watching mc’s apartment everynight. Like he’d be hidden but hed just be watching so he sees yeonwoo leave and he’s like ??? So he follows him to his apartment lmfao but yeah they do the do I think and yeah.
I’m not sure if the little brother got a beat down, all I remember was he ran away and the dad was like, “you’d end your own family for that omega”. And I was like sir! You ain’t family!! and the step-mom confronts yoenwoo and tells him to tell Kim shin to back off and forgive the brother. Like she demands him to and I think she tries to slap him? But mc was like nuh-uh why should I apologize (forgot to say she wanted mc to apologize to him too I think, all I remember was thinking the audacity of this bitch) he was like it’s not my fault your son decided to try and hurt Kim shin, and he said more but I don’t really remember. I just know he left her there humiliated and defeated.
Omg I forgot to say 2 of the 3 of Kim shins friends fall for yeonwoo like they each get to escort him and all and like they start to like him and their like “if only I was the one who met him first” and I was like ahhhhh!!!! But they don’t try to steal him just like they defend yeonwoo when someone’s like “he’s not all that why does Kim shin like him”

When I first saw chapter 9 I was so dumbfounded with what happened and then we had to wait god knows how long for chapter 10 to find out what happens I’m glad now I get to see how everyone else suffers with this.

One of the major points of why I like the ML he was never the reason she died or was ever affiliated with iris he never was the reason she suffered in her past life it’s just people always complain when the fl’s end up with someone who caused her pain in the past so why are they always forgiving them in these pseudo reverse harem stories?
But I don’t think they slept together in the novel when he had taken over the emperors body.
