I read the other peoples comments and it felt like they were reading too much into it? Like say Takeru (I think) already rejected the idea but our uke felt differently so he opposed the objection saying it's fine if he serves a different person. When the bitch-ass kissed him after having a diva entrance the uke blatantly grabbed the seme to "almost" declare that he is his (but had second thoughts). That smile was kinda him being affirmed that he has a high chance of the uke reciprocating his unsaid feelings.
Considering the hierarchy of status here the seme can't really oppose whatever other people say, he's just a servant after all. And of course the older man are being stereotypical saying a lips-to-lips kiss is normal in the west (100 facepalms for that). But yeah, status quo, he's a servant, surrounded by silver-spoon fed people. Yada yada. Basically he can't say anything.
That's what I've understood from what I've read anyway.
Not related to the topic but, why is it that almost every japanese yaoi manga I've read that has "supposed" not-asian characters always kiss people they just met mouth-to-mouth and the other characters be like "Ah, he's from the west, like wth.

This one, the "Behind the Scenes" story, as well as a few others. I don't think some of the readers are prepared or even open minded enough to read. Noticing the trend of people quick to point, judge, and drop. Some people try to explain, others call it defending and justifying wrong actions, which is saddening.
Saddening because it shows how people won't bother to try and understand after they've already passed judgement on it.
Which is why whenever I start seeing these kinds of stories, I never bother to read the comments first before opening the first chapter. Nor do I ever believe people's judgement on the stories until it's marked finished.
They should really make use of the "Mature" tag for these kind of stories.
Just letting out my thoughts on the trending opinions on some of the stories I've read already.
Have a good day

Behind the scenes is a unique story that simply was terrible written to ensure fan service. And much of its readers cannot grasp the complexities of its characters and narrative, thus reducing it to yet another romanticized abuse to love BL story. And the author delivered on that enthusiastic revisioning tenfold to match that. This plot looks like it will suffer the same fate of complex characters reduced to a generic love story out of ease and comfort to its readers who desire a happily ever after in almost all things to maintain the fantasy. It’s not good writing, but that’s not what BL is known for after all.

It was never a mature manga in the first place lol
I don't see why people are so hellbent on making this one out to be more than what it is. It was never complicated in the beginning. Right from the get-go we know that Masami has multiple partners but only two are aware that he is seeing other people. We know it's not poly 'cause I've already given a response as to why it's not and Masami gives lots of hints as to why he's not actually polyamorous.
Yeah you could slap some sort of sob story onto his past to make up an excuse for what he did to all of his partners but to call it anything other than "cheating" is just trying to make it seem justified. Not even Tora was ok with Masami dating other people but since he's so obsessed with the man he basically committed self-sabotage and kept his mouth shut so they could continue dating.
Masami didn't even actually love his other partners other than possibly Jisa-- he claims he was scared that Tora would leave him but still went with the "easy escape route" plan by having other partners to fall back on?? It doesn't make any sense lol
I've read mature manga. You don't read damn near 3k titles and not come across stories with darker or more realistic themes. This is not one of them.

At first I thought it was a really open relationship, nevermind forced by the uke, Tora consented to it even tho he could be hurting.
BUTTT!!! After re-reading it, the uke is trash, his boyfriends are getting the gist of other boyfriends. And Tora is becoming shady af (even with all the reaction at Chapter 2)
Still curious about how this will all turn out.
Chapter 1 are just snippets/previews for the stories(?) in this book? Like just grabbed a random page about this couple and shove it in there. That or I'm genuinely confused.
I'm confused too.( ̄∇ ̄")
