Did anyone else go back to the end of chapter 2 to see what was different with the tattoo?

I'm trying to remember if I've read another story with a main character that's this oblivious... I'm sure I have.

What do we think? I'm thinking that he won't fuck Dan anymore but he'll ask him to be his therapist again. I don't think he'll know how to or even want to act like a savior, so it can be more a question of "I need you to get your shit together because I'm getting mine too - I'm stronger than a jinx."
