Like, yeah she scared of the duke, but can she a little think about what others say about Ain, about nobles and etc? She is so freakin naive, that it almost kills me. However, she also a little makes me happy, that Ain now can have some fun and childhood

It's not like the other mangas where they need their high ranking man to show up, and protect her. She is going through tremendous struggles, one of the reasons why I love this manga.

Not sure. He gave her his jacket and a shortblade, which is weird, since if he abandoned her, he would have left her with nothing there to be tortured. I think he gave her the blade for something other than to kill herself.
no,based on the novel he’s actually overprotective and he cherishes her a lot.he just can’t seem to express his feelings well.in the novel he said she was his salvation,if it wasn’t for her,he wouldn’t be able to live as a normal human being (seeing as he’s the strongest swordmaster in the empire,he used to be a vicious tyrant but her existence soften him a bit) so no,daddy is not trash,daddy is just a lost case of tsundere ╮(￣▽￣)╭

No no he’s pretty clear most the time but she keeps misunderstanding things. Like he gets worried that she eats too quickly and tell her to take her time. He tries to give her gifts and when he found out she was reading books, he gave her some that were more entertaining and interesting for her. However the main girl is really dense and thinks that he thinks she’s pathetic and stuff. Personally I really like the father though cause after she breaks up with the guy, he asked her what’s her type and went around to look for her ideal guy and even went to someone’s house just to say they’re not good enough. He’s very adorable but I guess it’s cause he has a rest b face so maybe that’s why she misunderstood. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
That and probably because of what happened in the past when she came looking for him when she was a child. And how he always seemed to be absent in her life.(altho i bet he had a reason to act that way) I also read the english translation and although I knew he loves her, let's admit it. He really wasn't that great at communication. No wonder why our female lead would think that way. Tbh, I support her desire to not care anymore for her father lol. It's time the father himself makes a move.
