Can we really blame cossette for everything that’s happened? Yes and no, and the reason why I also say no is because the only reason why Cossette is still alive is because of the wife the duke threw out and abandoned just becoz she couldn’t bear his child. LETS NOT FORGET that her poor real daughter died at still birth (died as soon as she was born) and out hatred of being abandoned by the duke the wife took it upon herself to allow a demon to enter her dead baby’s body and posses it to take revenge on the dukedom but ig the demon also wanted the fall of the empire to happen but that’s all because of the FATHER. I don’t blame Cossette’s mother at all in this situation unless she was truly evil, she was still a woman who was abandoned by the Duke.
