This specific yaoi has been perfect at not sacrificing romance and consent and a good well developed story for the sake of making really sexy scenes, so please for the love of god don’t introduce r@pe, or even worse, gang r@pe. Please let those bastards immediately fail if they try something and get beat up or something since Snow is a really big dude. I promise a plot line like that is never necessary, especially since we already have an introduced conflict. All the consensual sex scenes (especially snow and tigers first time together) have been so phenomenal, and I just really hope that doesn’t get ruined by playing into what the majority of yaoi does and making an element non-consensual.
Did you know… that Yeonwu… Is actually… a living… breathing… human being…… with feelings??? I feel as though that point hasn’t made itself clear to Taehwan, and it’s sad how willing Yeonwu is to be walked on. This isn’t just about their sexual dynamic and Yeonwu being very submissive while Taehwan is dominant. But hey at least the sex scenes are hot.
I feel like I like Yahwi being with Jooin more than Cain because their relationship seems much more grounded in reality. Cain’s relationship with him is basically “You helped me many years ago when I was a wolf, and now that I’m reincarnated as a tall sexy man, I have forcefully thrusted myself into your life to be kind and treat you as if you’re still a master taking care of your dog, but also I’m very horny for you.” and that’s just a bit much for a non fanciful world. If this was a fantasy comic and stuff like that was actually considered normal, I’d like it more but all of that wild shit is in relation to this normal gay boy and his normal life and normal everything. So when you compare that to another normal boy and their normal situations and relationships together, it makes that development feel so much more impactful than everything going on with Cain. It feels like there’s actual substance to it. I do still like Cain (although I still think his personality is a bit fake and underhanded with good intentions), but if we’re talking about Jooin’s relationships with him or Yahwi, being with Yahwi seems so much more… real… and not ridiculous… and when they do settle their issues, it’d actually feel well developed and satisfying. Not just like a cute guy dropped from the sky and latched himself to you so you better date him despite knowing nothing about him besides the fact that he’s poor, foreign, and madly in love/obsessed with you.
For real. We know why Yahwi is so emotionally and socially stunted, we know that he’s not at bad guy at heart, we know that he sees that he hurt Jooin and is trying to do better for him, we know that they had a past when they were kids that only Yahwi can recall because it meant so much to him. With all of that intense development that could give a relationship an actual strong foundation, I’m just unable to see Cain as an actual candidate because him and our current Jooin have no actual development. They barely know each other.
Predictions:
1. Chi-Hwan was horrified to find Sooin gone when he woke up and went into a panic looking for him. So when he finds him, he feels like nothing else (like rings) are even close to as important as him staying by his side.
2. Chi-Hwan is simply flabbergasted because he actually does find his lover giving him rings very valuable, but he’s calling himself “something so worthless” because he feels like he doesn’t deserve Sooin’s intense love.
3. After Sooin imagined the good outcomes, he couldn’t help but imagine the bad outcomes and he’s afraid that Chi-Hwan will have a bad reaction to getting him rings, and that last part of the chapter is just in Sooin’s mind.
I’m personally leading more towards prediction #2, but we shall see in the next chapter folks!
At this point I don’t want either of them to be with Ohn. They’ve severely screwed up everything and they really suck despite them both being adorable love sick puppy’s. This situation is so terrible that I wouldn’t feel comfortable if either of them “won” Ohn. My only wish at this point is that their utter stupidity doesn’t crush Ohn’s perception of men forever and he’s still able to move forward and develop meaningful friendships/relationships with people besides only woman, whether or not Seowoo and Jaewoo are involved in those friendships/relationships.
Until them, I’m not rooting for anyone and I will continue to ride the wave until something non stressful and non horrible happens lmao. Nothing will be okay for either of the lil idiots when the truth comes out, so I no longer see a point in rooting for them when they’re both severely in the wrong. I root for Ohn and his future happiness. But I can’t even do that when all I can think about is how heartbroken he’ll be when he finds out he was being tag-teamed by two imbeciles and his first “healthy” relationship with a guy is built on a very disgusting lie and he’s basically being manipulated. That is all for this rant. Peace out.
“This is the end of our need-based relationship……”
“Why do we keep misunderstanding each other?”
Idk dude, mayhaps because you took several long pauses, waited for him to start crying and whimper out multiple sad sentences, with a little bit of deprecating self inflection before you felt the need to clarify that you wanted to date him for realsies this time. Maybe that’s why lmfao.
Can we please just skip to the part where bloody hair gets sent to prison and Jiwoon gets sent to therapy? This is too much stress on my heart. Jiwoon is obviously doing this out of love, but obviously any sane person going through that wouldn’t see it that way, and their relationship used to be good, so I don’t want it to end just cause Jiwoon went coocoo for coco puffs. Suha is pretty much a prisoner at this point, but I’m more fearful of their relationship than I am of his safety which I guess is a good (slightly better) thing. I want to see what bloody hairs next move is because he is the objective threat at this point despite Jiwoons method of love being a ball and chain. I wonder how he’d react if he literally can’t find Suha anywhere, or if he does find him and he’ll like break into the apartment or something. Or more likely Suha will struggle harder the more Jiwoon tries to control him, he’ll somehow sneak out, and that’s when bloody boi will catch him. This is so stressful but entertaining nonetheless. Mangas like this are why I have to read lighthearted comedy romance bl’s at the same time just to calm my nerves.
If this story is gonna continue down the path it’s on of “I left this horrible person because he’s horrible but doing that gave me a lOvE JiNx so I guess my only option is to start dating the abuser who hasn’t had a personality change since he was an evil fucking child.” I’m gonna be so flabbergasted. There better be a switch up to save this story because it’s on very thin ice. I’m praying that Haegyung develops a backbone, realizes that Woojin is an actual sociopath, and just refuses to play into his game. Also praying that said switch up has something to do with park whatever blue haired dude, and that whole drunk situation was a hint to them forming a relationship instead, and being the main couple. Because I really don’t rock with yaoi characters having some unwavering attraction to horrifyingly toxic people.

This is by far the cutest healthiest most heartwarming bl relationship I’ve ever seen and I need more. I feel like my mind has been tainted by the many toxic tropes of yaoi that reading something so adorable while also being so mature like this is making my little gay heart burst. I finally get the power of slow burns lmao.
