And here I thought that Xia Xia had done something terrible and that Lihuan had also done something terrible then I read the chapter and to me neither characters have done anything wrong. The way I see it, Xia Xia being an outsider noticed the dynamics of Yuyang and Lihuan's relationship and maybe it is meddlesome of her, but what she told Lihuan at the end of this chapter might not be so far fetched. If she only gives him tips on how he could get closer to Yuyang, than that's not too bad, as long as she doesn't overstep their boundaries. As for the comments I read about it not being fair to Yuyang that Lihuan wants to experiment w/ him, I don't think that's the case. The fact that Lihuan could very clearly express what he thinks of Yuyang regardless of what he thinks his sexual orientation is, the truth of the matter is he has romantic feelings for Yuyang. Hell, I didn't really figure out my orientation until I was 21-22 yrs old, so even though Lihuan said he's straight, he might just think so because he's never thought about it. Either way, his feelings are true.
I'm gonna paraphrase something I read in a book a while back regarding love and sex.
It basically explained it like this: " people can fall in love with anyone yet not be sexually attracted to them." In short, love and sex can be separate and that does not mean that the love is not valid, nor does it mean that they cannot engage in sex at some point, it just means that generally the person you happen to fall in love with might not be your " type".
Sometimes I feel a lot of yaoi relationships are kinda like that, except they fet over their inhibitions really fast in yaoi.
Unless something drastic happens, DG & Jiwon are going to be the endgame. I don't mind that, but to the people that have been hoping for DG to find someone new, wouldn't that be tantamount to DGs situation w/ Alex? He'd be playing with someone else's feelings (albeit not on purpose) in order for his relationship with Alex to progress. I'm not a huge love triangle fan, so unless DG and Alex don't end up together, I wouldn't want some poor soul to come along and get involved. He'd be like the rebound guy and that wouldn't be fair. I think DG and Alex need to solve their issues w/o dragging other people into it, jealousy or not.
More like he’s never forgotten.
by yaoi logic, a kiss can be written off as an accident, impulse or a dare. Now I’m going to ask a potentially stupid question, (I’m mostly aromantic so my experiences with romance and dates are non-existent) but do people really do that? Unless it’s a dare it there are beer goggles involved or curiosity I supppse, I don’t think you go around making out w/ others unless you are at least mildly attracted to them? I can be wrong though. I hope Yuyang doesn’t try to use yaoi logic
I mean, yes and no. It doesn't happen the way it does in 90s high school movies where all the popular kids are just making out with each other, but you can kiss someone without being attracted to them if you have a very tight definition of attraction. It's possibly to acknowledge someone as objectively attractive without physically being attracted to them. It's similar to having sex without being sexually attracted to someone, since for the most part you don't need to be attracted to someone for your sex drive to kick in, as sex is a very physical thing that can simply be enhanced by emotion. So yes, it's possible and people do it, but not very often unless their profession calls for it.
