
I don't know chinese but i'm seeing this a lot in manhuas so lemme ask, 'cause they seem to use a lot of sayings /idioms and i get confused.
The phrase "You call me Dad" or "I am your Dad" does it mean like "I am more superior than you"? / "I'm your boss" ?

Wait first of all english isn't my first language, so i am sorry if this still doesn't make sense. but they actually talk about this matter before. Xiao called Yang daddy cause Yang feels like he owe xiao for being his tutor. When xiao become his father then he doesn't need to felt that way cause in asian household parents has full responsibility to teach their son. Same idioms different meaning
