I like how over the top she is, that confidence is something a lot of people don't have. I also think she became like that to cope with what she had been through as a child. She was kidnapped and shamed at very young age so she needed to love herself to this extent not to fall into despair.

Yes, not being killed, but not protected by her father and subordinates. From past chapters, we know that not everyone with Jewell eyes had the luck to do what they want. So she not being "used" by the church, exploited until smth nothing is left is due to her father.
And people dislike him because he wanted to shame her, embarrass her after pinching her. People dislike him because of what he thinks about the mc, yes she died. But is she harming anyone? No. He doesn't know, and until where I left my readings (chap 43) he acts like a jerk trying to look better than the mc, so I know where my dislike originates from.
Until he behaves better, my opinion is that he is a jerk. And this my last answer of today, I have so many things to read. Let's agree that we disagree on how we see this character, and it's okay.

Like why Helena was acting all friendly with Eris in front of everybody and talking to her casually. And it's not like people disliked real Eris for nothing she really was a bitch. Ughh and that fucking crown prince treating people like property. He and original Eris were such assholes, perfect for each other honestly. And if anybody comes to me about how pressured Eris was, well hon tons of people are super pressured and treated way worse than her, but not everybody is going around locking other people in closets(it's a huge trauma for some) and bullying them(just because they think their are better than them or deserve something more). I just can't sympathize with bullies who aren't even regretting their actions and so far I haven't seen original Eris apologize to Helena
I wish MC could see that Helena's life isn't all nice and stop disliking her because she thinks she has it easy and is ignorant of her surroundings.
