she doesn’t want etienne to be so independent to the point where he leaves her in the dust. she wants to be able to control him and she just couldn’t if he got merits bc then his self confidence and support system would improve meaning that he no longer needs her

Just because I hate Seeing the main character who is so sweet go through this but at the same time it's actually showing in abusive relationship and Why she acts and reacts the way she does.
The way that she's been treated recently is making her question whether this type of treatment is even okay
I also feel like a lot of these stories show that the family is abusive maybe they have mentioned it but it feels very campy and they don't really explore the true PTSD of it all.

I have been following this story for freaking years. I've been trying to get people to read it I'm going to go ahead and tell them don't do that
I feel like this story is another case of a failed enemies to friends to lovers story. By rushing the smut and kind of using sexual assault To get these scenes you ruin it already. Then You make it to where theyre never really friends so it's always like nails on a chalkboard when they interact.
Now We're supposed to get to the lovers part but nobody has done really anything to deserve it because theres really been no character development. We weren't even starting out with most character because everybody was just an archetype of a boy love character to be honest.
If you want a real relationship Why have you not asked for a relationship? You want all these benefits of being exclusive with someone but you're not exclusive you won't ask to be exclusive and you have your own secrets. Then have the nerve to react like That you really need to grow up
