Yeah, Donnie is a baby who was abused into a life of crime, and yes, he is still a 16yr old kid, but I am too invested in him as a villian. And him getting a backstory and truck-kun this late in the game feels like a cope out.
The story should have ended at 255 with Donald's victory. He keeps the Union and does whatever he wants but leaves Eunjang alone. Thus, Grey and Co. become legends... Because they have lost the battle, but they won the war and hot Union to back off. Nobody is going the authority of the guys who fought Donald one-on-one and put him on his knees, even if it was for a few seconds.

How people are so salty but literally most of the stories that we read are people grooming the damn tyrants. About the only difference with the premises is that the main character in the Others are kids and it's a novel.
Also folks be complaining for a female villain to actually be a villain and then when they get it they whine and complain. She's not a cute chubby cheek main character with plots like the Family that abandoned her changed because of a sweet smile. She's not a happy go lucky person with a memories of any kind of a good life.

This girl thinks she's entitled to her revenge, just because she lived a bad life. And yes, she is, but to her perpetrators! The poor people in the kingdom did literally nothing to her. They probably didn't even know she existed.
And now onto the male lead. She was older than him. If she wanted his favor, couldn't she have tried to become his older sister figure or new maternal figure after his mom's death? Why romance? There was no need for that, which is what makes it worse.
Even then, a story about this could be interesting....if the character writing just wasn't so bland. She just seems like a Mary sue written to appeal to twelve year olds, no real thought behind actions.
