What a confusing situation. I'm not associated with any of this upload drama, but I did have something to get off my chest about Lack of Love.
I read this series on Tapas and just come here for the audience discussions, and every time there's a new chapter update on Tapas there's that one person who always comments under every chapter claiming that the Tapas translations are wrong and tries to give their own shoddy translations/chapter explanations. They always turn out to be choppy, incoherent (because they're directly translating from Korean so I guess they're using Korean grammatical rules? Or they're just not native English speakers, idk) but the parts that do make sense in their comments are largely the same as the Tapas translations, just using different synonyms. They claim that the official translations are confusing the plot line and readers kept getting mixed up between Hangyum & Hanwool, but honestly anyone who has been paying attention should be able to pick up the subtle clues left in the story to be able to make the distinction. It's not the fault of the official translations. The clues are there.
I told them once that they should stop dissing the Tapas translations because the official translations already make sense and flow better from an English speaker's perspective, plus they carry the same overall meaning. That person then got defensive and salty saying their translations were much more accurate and it was clear their ego wasn't allowing for anyone to critique their chapter explanations, which they believed to carry the "real truth" of this series.
I don't know if the above has anything to do with what is happening but whatever. It still annoys me that they act like they're the "Messiah" of Lack of Love but I just ignore their comments on Tapas because I'm choosing to enjoy the story through the official translations.
Too bad the uploads are stopping here, I guess that means no more weekly discussions with the community on the progression of the story.

Fujoqueen,
I am glad you wanted to get that off your chest. I am glad you wanted to share. I am not sure who is, or is not associated with the anonymous drama and "reporting to Tapas" drama. But this comment really did incite you had something to do with it or someone helping others really angered you. Let me explain.
Please do not reveal your tapas name because someone could pretend to be you and could get you block. Your name is similar to your tapas name.
About what you put, I know, and a few others know that is not truth. One it is not every chapter. Also, sometimes they just make a comment. They are right, in some areas the translations are wrong. However, they have never claimed those translations as their own but spoke of “Mi Amore’s translations” or "My friends"
No one had the opinion of it being choppy, or incoherent, that is your opinion. “(because they're directly translating from Korean so I guess they're using Korean grammatical rules? Or they're just not native English speakers, idk).” This I can view as a cut below the belt. Really your the first to have those opinions. I do not take your opinion to heart because I know it is trying to get at the one your anger about. And I know those translations are straightforward and coherent.
“different synonyms” can imply different meanings. English is a wonderful language. I have had classes in Linguistics. And the wrong word could change everything in sentence. but it was more than simple synonyms.
Again, they did not claim Tapas confused the plot like. I know they explained the plot and story to you and then what they meant but that was "them getting all defensive". Explaining things is not being defensive.
Only one other verbally disliked the comments they posted and lots of others wanted them to share the translations. That is two vs many. Many asked and many hearts were given to them. The translations they post make more sense and flow better than the Tapas version. Many have agreed. If you don't agree, ask yourself why did they have hearts and your opinions to those comments did not have hearts.
Again they never claim those translations were theirs, they are not the type of person.
Under cut below the belt “it was clear their ego wasn't allowing for anyone to critique their chapter explanations, which they believed to carry the "real truth" of this series.”
your opinion, and another cut below the belt. “It still annoys me that they act like they're the "Messiah" of Lack of Love but I just ignore their comments on Tapas because I'm choosing to enjoy the story through the official translations.”
They never acted like a messiah, and you know that. Or you know they would not had asked everyone if they wanted him to continue. It seems they angered you by them providing and helping others understanding the story as the author wanted it. And this comment states something different from what you said, this comment states someone that can not simply ignore them because this comment in bashing them and not telling the truth in what really happened. Especially with this happening weeks ago.
“Too bad the uploads are stopping here, I guess that means no more weekly discussions with the community on the progression of the story.”
That is not what is said. but I don't recall your name here having you made any weekly discussion. Maybe I have missed your comments or you barely reply.
It just seems you are to angry at that person for giving the real truth of the true story. the evidence in your comment is hard too refute. They did nothing wrong by sharing and providing constructive criticism. I don't see them bashing you or lying about what happen. If they wrote a long message to explain to you what he meant then that showed he care and trying to get on equal ground with you. He would never bashed you or made a comment like you did about you. He is open, he is friendly, he is helpful. he will bend over backwards for people, he has a big heart. I am sorry you are angry at someone like him. and I guess when he took the time to explain to you to have equal ground with you and possibility to be friends with you was not wanted. I am glad he is my friend.
Love it a better way. Not hate.
Mi Amore,
Anon.

He tian yes you did speak the truth. This topic thread was not about yours. But someone that disliked/hated the comments from our friend so much that they changed what really happen on Tapas. The comment made what happen looked toxic when it was not. It made our friend look toxic and that is not truth either. Therefore, they are judging our friend, when you judge others, you don't define them, you define yourself. Fujoqueen made a toxic hate comment judging our friend. Which she define herself not our friend.
Someone like this, not saying it was Fujoqueen, was the reason for the change on here. Only two voiced their dislike on Tapas. Fujoqueen was one.

In this tread, if you had read this. You would understand a Tapas user and myself was bashed as one person. The Tapas user that is bashed in the op comment, finally find the comment that was wrote to the op of this comment on Tapas in a word document. I am posting it here for anyone to see that is not what is claimed. It is explaining and informative. Not unless we are thinking about two different Tapas users. Because my friend does not remember much of what is said in the original comment, one example would had been stop dissing the Tapas translations. Another would be claiming my translations.
Our friends comment to this person:
I have been thinking have I said they changed the plot. First what is plot. “the plot is the sequence of events, where each event affects the next one through the principle of cause-and-effect.” They have not changed former friends meets later as idols and they start working together and become sex buddies while one is pretend to not be himself. The twin comes in and agrees to pretend. Sohyun and Jaehee. They have not made a change to that.
One of the biggest changes that messes up this story and Tapas has to change things. The idol is going by Han not Hangyum. Since Tapas has made that mistake, it caused many awkward situations.
I have said they changed the story. What is a story, “A narrative or story is an account of a series of related events, experiences, or the like, whether true or fictitious.” They have changed characters personalities. They add dialogue, they had removed dialogue. They have omitted dialogue. They have lost the culture in many parts. This story is just a shadow of its former self.
In chapter 19, Hangyum is suppose to say His brother attend high school, and in chapter 28 Hajin said suddenly transfer, what is Tapas going to do if one of the flashbacks showing Hangyum suddenly transferred? Also in chapter 28, Hajin asks if he was Hangyum Lee before Hanwool flipped around. He does not say ‘I’m pretty sure I put you in that outfit.” In chapter 28, he is thinking he is talking to his former friend but questions it. In the English, it does not come off that way at the beginning. Chapter 19, when they are talking about the stage name, that does not happen in Korean version. They omitted dialogue to fix their mistake. Or when it would not make mean anything to English speaker like when They talk about a Korean story in chapter 30. That was a miss opportunity to learn about their culture.
Now as being Native English speakers here, it is not just simply different word choices because it is the meaning behind it. There is a difference between “Then does that mean he knows about us?” To “Does he know that you and I know each other fairly well in the past?” First one implies Jaehee thinks they are still together, makes Jaehee more creepier than he is. Not to mention it makes him look like a stalker and has an ulterior motive. The second one makes him more decent, and he knows their relationship is in the past. I think from a Native English speaker point of view, what I posted flows better. They are only localizing the dialogues and they are losing the original tone and content. The worst is having new dialogue, making up things has ruined the tone and personality of characters. I have not posted everything. I am not familiar with everything like my friend is. We talk about and we decided to talk about the points that makes the story makes better sense. I don’t like how they changed the dialogue with Eunho and Jisu in chapter 20, have you read that? I am only posting like 10%. Who would wanted to read a comment going into everything on this app? I don’t think many. Also would revisit the comment section after a few weeks? There is little I can do on this app.
End of comment
This happen after someone said My translation flowed better and the reaction made more sense in Korean.
My friend wrote this is a word document first because he cared and wanted to get on the same ground with this person. He also asked a few to read it, like me, before he said this person his reply. Simply because, He cared.
He would had posted this comment but he made a report to Mangago seeing if they would check to see if this was the anonymous, that was attacking the readers here about a week ago and they blocked him from seeing this comment. They would not do that if there was not something there.

Look I'm sorry if my comment affected you and your friend so much that you not only had to reply on this thread itself but also in my inbox as well.
Honestly speaking I did not read all of your messages because they're too long but I refer to the end of your last message.
Are you implying that I'm such a petty person that I would actually take action against your comments on Tapas / Mangago? Do you think I have so much time to waste? Because I'm telling you right now that is not the case and I'm not such a pathetic person to do that. I simply made a comment on Tapas a long time ago similar to what I commented here but I had explained in my comment itself that I have learned to simply ignore your comments. I have never once bashed you anywhere or taken any sort of offensive action towards you and do not appreciate your comments alluding that I did.
There are already people spamming my inbox telling me I'm the reason why Lack of Love will no longer be uploaded to Mangago because of what they've read in your replies.
Fantastic. Well done. This is exactly what I mean with the Messiah effect. I just wrote a comment saying I disagreed with the chapter explanations and suddenly I'm the reason why the series is no longer being uploaded? Will this happen to every person who disagrees with you?

I am sorry, I feel like there is some confusion here.
I never made a comment on Tapas. Simply because I never had a Tapas account.
Person 1: Tapas/Mangago user that helped on Tapas with my translations and chapter explanations which has not wrote you here on Mangago. They were not in the wrong to write those.
Person 2: Mangago user that buys the raws and translates them to provide chapter summaries.
I thought I made this clear, even with the last comment. And it is not because it is too long, It is simply because it was the truth being said.
In your original message you bashed both of us and did not tell the truth. Maybe to see that attacks, you could read it as someone wrote that about you when you know that is not the truth and two different people.
I don’t know what has been said in your inbox but maybe it is about the hate comment that is not factual? One of them send me what they said because they cannot post here and it was not want you claimed.
The messiah affect is a way to bash us from falsifying beliefs. I don’t see an messiah affect. I see evidence that refutes your first comment and second comment.
Your comment was more than a disagreement. You have not disagreed with me. Really you did not disagree with the other person, just what they did. Which you were part of a few that didn’t like it.
And also, I have told you in my first comment, Lack of a Name has a third option and never said the series is no longer being uploaded. Therefore your argument falls apart before your comment was made because it was never implied in any comment here toward you. I just see your comments bashing me and some one that care and tried to have a conversation with you. It is sad that is turned around to being defensive, a “messiah effect”, and not telling the real truth of what happened.

Wow! It sure does sound like the original poster has issues. Lying about what happened. Making two people one. Maybe Looking through many pages to report who we are talking about. There must be something to it, if Mangago blocked them from seeing this comment. By the way, a friend pointed out to me while they said they ignored them after the first time. They made three to four comments one comment. If that happen with Jaehee, than the Hanwool comment was before.

Dear Queen. I think you are here to cause problems.
I was one that emailed you. You said “ There are already people spamming my inbox telling me I'm the reason why Lack of Love will no longer be uploaded to Mangago because of what they've read in your replies.”
My email to you was
Your comment.
Your just attacking and bashing this person. They rightfully said readers do keep getting mixed up between Hangyum & Hanwool. I am one of many that got them confused. Check my topics. Tapas does mess up the translations.
It was on your being a bullying and nothing about your the reason. I doubt anyone did that because of Mi Amore’s comments.

I still don't think of Mr. Ahn as a liar. His only lie is that he doesn't have any other "students", but he is in fact fulfilling his promise of teaching Hojun about sex. He hasn't even received any form of payment so it's not like he's scamming him either. It should be a good thing for Hojun that there aren't any students.
I'm not sure about Hori telling Miyamura not to get anymore piercings... Yes in the past his reasons for getting piercings may have come from a place of pain but that isn't the case anymore and he seems to enjoy them for his personal style. I don't think she should be so overbearing.
His piercings & tattoos were awesome.
Hehe this concern is rooted in your personal preference, right? ┑( ̄∇ ̄)┍
I’m kidding! But I just spoke for myself, I was waiting the whole time for him to put them on again but ;-; okay then
I think she just didn’t want to see him in pain even if its only for a few seconds
Ahhhh!!!! I get you! I was really sad when we found out his lip piercing closed up, and I honestly REALLY love that part of Ikkun. He seemed really enthusiastic about getting new tattoos when he was talking with Sota, but it seems he stops himself because Kyo-chan doesn't like it. It makes me so sad ┗( T﹏T )┛
