one thing I liked about this though is how mature and level headed the girl in the story is, she knew that she had to back down and she did so calmley and respected both of their boundaries.. glad this isn't a story that showcases the girl as the evil conniving villain

Okay imagine this. You have a partner who you have repeatedly told how much they love them right. This partner of yours however doesn't like you smiling at other people. This Partner also has voiced they don't like you out of their site because they don't trust you enough to be out of their site with other people especially those of the opposite gender.
No matter how much you try to ensure them you love them and would never cheat they continue to not trust you. The go as far as asking you to quit your job because it worries them too much that you are out of their site.
Be so for real if your okay with this your into toxic relationships. Shizuma has legit asked Minato if it's that hard to actually trust him. He seemed hurt when he asked this.

Shizuma has legit admitted to their relationship in public without being ashamed of it and not caring what other people think of them. And he was previously straight. He also forgave Minato for lying to him about sleeping with him and lying about why he approached him and pretending he loved him. He went as far to go back to his hometown to try to make his trauma better.
