The empress only doesn't like her because she looks like her previous empress, who was very childish and made a HUDGE mistake and thought shiri would be just as childish. But when shiri is proven innocent they become friends

And I've read many sp0ilers of the novel too. Where the 'f***' do you think I didn't? Oh because I'm not defending a b**** empress who makes things hard for innocent people because she thinks the other person looks like someone else she found foolish, even though she didn't bother to even get to know the other person in the first place? Sounds like the b**** empress is the foolish one. And you think being friends with someone automatically makes what they do okay? So if a friend ever hits you out of the blue you won't fight back because it's their right to do so right? So Shuri definitely isn't the foolish one like the fool b**** empress thought. Bnaodfba.

She wanted to take care of his kids when he die but the Marquis chose the 16-17 yr old Shuli to take care of his kids instead of her, his friend and Empress. The test is to see if this teenager has the resolve and power to protect her friend’s children. She's the fucking empress. The priest is of very high standing and has a solid reputation, as he is the tutor of the crown prince. So why would he want to harm the prince, and also this accusation could damage the relationship of the empire and the church. It's embarrassing that you don't realise this far that all characters in the story are three dimensional, with there own beliefs and thoughts.
