A lot of us quiet ones do understand where he's coming from. The ones who understand that we react differently to trauma. Jaekyung is trying to better himself by wanting to stay at the top but that's it, that's all he knows about. It wasn't until he saw his old coach again, the one who saw him grow up and understood his pain, that he learnt that there's more to life than winning. He's so emotionally stunted, he needs someone who understands him to teach and guide him. What he does after this is up to him and hopefully there's a lot of growing up he has to do
