i think y’all blew past this whole job quitting thing way too quickly. it’s not about the income. it’s the fact that jiho had a life and a career of his own and he felt to need to abandon that to be able to finally convince his partner of his love and devotion. a lot of users here are generally high school age and thats okay but most don’t have the experience to know that having certain parts of your life that are just for you (ur career, a hobby etc) is really important if you want to be a good partner to someone. believe it or not, healthy adult relationships aren’t about merging into one being and spending every waking moment together 24/7
I also don't understand why he felt the need to abandon his carreer for inwoo, even inwoo himself confused by his decision. I don't think jiho quitting his job would resolve any issue, the only thing he needed to do was to solve the misunderstanding between them.
inwoo didn’t ask him to do that but on the other hand literally the only time they spent apart was when jiho had to go to work and they still thought the time they spent together wasn’t enough. i think it’s a two way street because yes jiho didn’t have to quit his career and now it would be unfair of him to put the burden on inwoo if he regrets that decision, but inwoo also needed to spend even more time with him which jiho (understandably imho) interpreted as “i should quit my job”.
also because neither of them communicate with each other so jiho is left to scrap together some way to salvage his relationship so he’s giving up on the one single thing that is keeping them from spending more time together which is his job. it honestly feels like jiho is the only one doing the work to keep their relationship going. mostly because inwoo is too busy being severely depressed which is entirely understandable, but that doesn’t mean jiho singlehandedly keeping them together is fair either

I wouldn’t necessarily label it as just “p*do” form of love at this point… won’s obsession with jinha goes way beyond it tbh. I def DO think its wrong and creepy that he became interested in him when he was so young, but i feel like its more of an obsession with his existence and place in the world. Won sees Jinha as someone similar to himself. Its almost like he wants to use jinha as a way to prove that getting out of that situation at home is possible. That and he wants to feel love from someone similar to him, binding him so that he won’t ever have to feel betrayed or lonely again.
All these characters are so extremely messed up but tbh it kinda makes the story interesting. I pity them all but at the same time think they all need time in jail or smth LMAAAAAOOOO
yeah no… it’s pedophilic. the second he made it sexual, it left “creepy and wrong” and entered pedo territory.
also i’d argue that won sees jinha as his direct opposite. jinha’s kind when won cannot be, he is loved when he can’t be.
his reasons for what he’s doing allat IS pretty complex but at the end of the day that doesn’t change the fact that he’s now obsessing and sexually fantasizing about a teenager
