i think y’all blew past this whole job quitting thing way too quickly. it’s not about the income. it’s the fact that jiho had a life and a career of his own and he felt to need to abandon that to be able to finally convince his partner of his love and devotion. a lot of users here are generally high school age and thats okay but most don’t have the experience to know that having certain parts of your life that are just for you (ur career, a hobby etc) is really important if you want to be a good partner to someone. believe it or not, healthy adult relationships aren’t about merging into one being and spending every waking moment together 24/7
I also don't understand why he felt the need to abandon his carreer for inwoo, even inwoo himself confused by his decision. I don't think jiho quitting his job would resolve any issue, the only thing he needed to do was to solve the misunderstanding between them.
inwoo didn’t ask him to do that but on the other hand literally the only time they spent apart was when jiho had to go to work and they still thought the time they spent together wasn’t enough. i think it’s a two way street because yes jiho didn’t have to quit his career and now it would be unfair of him to put the burden on inwoo if he regrets that decision, but inwoo also needed to spend even more time with him which jiho (understandably imho) interpreted as “i should quit my job”.
also because neither of them communicate with each other so jiho is left to scrap together some way to salvage his relationship so he’s giving up on the one single thing that is keeping them from spending more time together which is his job. it honestly feels like jiho is the only one doing the work to keep their relationship going. mostly because inwoo is too busy being severely depressed which is entirely understandable, but that doesn’t mean jiho singlehandedly keeping them together is fair either

is it just me or is this getting. like. really weird? i just don’t like how jiho had to quit his job and devote his entire time to inwoo for inwoo to be convinced that jiho loved him. don’t get me wrong i think jiho was entirely at fault with that mother situation but idk their whole getting back together rubs me the wrong way
the more i read the more i start to think this is kinda stupid. like. why would he think a ANYONE would remember some random ass guy they gave some ice cream to when they were a pre-teen. it was probably like a random tuesday to him.
it’s devastating when a story with absolutely gorgeous art has this bland of a story. please GL artists work with a writer i beg of you
