Yes he is changing but I don’t like the way he tries to butt in moments where the FL wants to improve Ein’s character as a kid. At least now he’s making the effort but if she were to leave again, it’s like going back to square one wherein he’s not going to look at Ein again. Well, we’ll see where it goes on from here. I might like him more in the future chaps but as of now, he’s still sus to me ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

If he’s changing why does he only focus on the female lead and not his own child? Why does it have to take a relationship with some girl to change the way he views his own child? Although it’s a joke, he literally sees him as some sort of rival and not as his kid. He’s literally acting like a man child. HE FEELS BAD FOR EIN that’s for sure but why does he do nothing. He goes right back to the female lead and then says “hey how bout we have our own” and not even comfort his depressed child. He’s NOT changing (at the moment). Having romantic feelings for someone does not mean change. Changing is realizing your own mistakes and attempt to better yourself and clearly, all he thinks about is his relationship with his current wife. THATS IT. There’s not even a moment of “should I comfort him” “should I visit him” etc. Just, “focus on me Roselia” “let’s have a baby of our own”

Exactly what I was trying to get across! If he was changing, he should have reflected on his mistakes. I know he had a troubled past but did he not even feel an ounce of guilt for not caring for his child? Or maybe wonder how he wouldn’t want his child to go thru what he did? That kind of “connection” in which he is now concerning himself with Ein cause Roselia’s there is a fragile one. Their father-son relationship is bound to fail without the FL there in the first place. In a way, he’s not changing for himself to be a BETTER person but because the FL is afraid of him and doesn’t like his treatment towards his own child. He is acting like his parents, two wrongs doesn’t make one right. He will probs gain some character development but his past doesn’t do any justification for what trauma he’s done to his kid (#－.－) Anyways, it’s just my take on what we’re given in this story since it’s mostly on the perspective of the FL

If there’s character development soon, hopefully there will be more scenes wherein he puts in effort to build his relationship with Ein and not cause the FL is there. In which he tries to actually have a talk with him instead of relying on the FL to give the love his son needs. It is why Ein doesn’t want to have a sibling in the first place. He only felt love from Roselia and not from anyone else...

Anyway its not even about right and wrong
But i looked things from my perspective which is i once was being VERY inconsiderate and emotionally agressive without even realising it at one point of my life
So the thing is i started watching dramas and anime and got obsessed with this kind of stuff (thank god it wasn't drink, smoke club and drugs or worse things)
Anyway that was a state of ignorance, since adults around me putting a facade of welfare taught me in a way only they thought was right and i comfortably converted in a similar being like our MC, (happens a lot in these webtoons)


So once the certain hit is made by someone or something in your life and you start discerning, that point is like a breakthrough and sense of guilt and lacking conscience and whatnot hits u hard

You look for change, crave it, its all weird

But can someone suddenly change?

Well sorry for rambling you are absolutely right and i get that interruption that you are talking about lol, i wanna see more of Ein too, but then the duke just looks like a lost lamb to me and i wanna see him change and want him to apologize to Ein for making Ein into such an adultlike cunning freak and suppressing his child side deep into his mental dungeon
I want him to realize that how even he himself as child is locked somewhere waiting for someone to give him emotional happiness and finally become a great father even thought its late
Still its not a dead end

This is exactly how I feel. He’s not changing for himself or Ein, he’s changing for Roselia. It makes me feel like he’s the step father who’s forced to like his step son to appease his wife. I just want them to become a loving family first until they have another child. This is just too messy with so much neglect and hurt for Ein. This is literally the first time in his life he’s getting so much love from someone. I know some people are worried about the amount of spoiling but I feel like he deserves it so much. And now him worrying about someone else taking his place is a SERIOUS concern that people are laughing it off. The duke better not getting some action before he seriously gets a character development.

I understand your sentiment. Sorry also for my wording haha I was hella passionate about my dislike for the Duke cause of how much I have also experienced neglect as a child. So in a way, I feel for what Ein is going through. I want the Duke to improve both as a father and an individual which is why his actions atm make me angry. There’s a lot going on between relationships especially problems that deal with complexities on trauma so I like this talk we’re having. I was just caught up in anger for the Duke this chap but ofc there’s always room for change

I get where he’s coming from but ever since he wanted to go meet him as a “girl”, he was already showing unacceptable/creepy behavior. It was weird and also leads to ur point about why he had to beat up the other guy? He’s too possessive of him and if both of them actually communicated esp the uke who kept accepting the seme’s behavior, it wouldn’t have been toxic in the first place.

there may be room for development in the future chaps but for now, I don’t like how their characters are portrayed...
