When you abort a child, you kill it. If the child wasn’t aborted, it will still be alive. Actions that were premeditated and taken regardless of knowing the results, which is someone dying, is murder. Abortion is first-degree murder.

Is abortion murder? Yes, absolutely.

I probably won’t change your mind in a forum about a bl manwa but here it goes.
Murder implies a human life, a fetus takes a very long time to become a “baby” (pregnancy lasts 9 months for a reason!).

Abortion in the first three months of pregnancy does not involve what anyone could possibly consider a “baby”, after that things get more complicated.

In fact, in many countries, like mine, abortion after that dead line is legal only because of medical reasons, this usually means the fetus is non viable or has a very short life expectancy, a woman who goes this kind of abortion is one who wanted to give birth and have a child and is a tragedy for her to abort, but still understands that is better than prolong her future child’s suffering.

All of this doesn’t mean that an abortion, even in those first three months, is not something that takes a heavy psychological toll on the woman. I miscarried in my first month, obviously I didn’t lose a baby, and my experience was not comparable to the woman beside me who miscarried at four months. But It still took a long time and work to feel alright after that experience, I can guarantee that no woman goes through it just for kicks.

Talking about women who choose abortion as murderers only adds unwarranted shame and guilt on people who don’t deserve any but probably already feel it anyways because society is bullshit and we still are trying to take body autonomy away from women.

I understand where you are coming from, however as you have already guessed, my mind hasn’t changed.
A fetus’s heart starts to beat as early as 5-6 weeks. And there is no study to prove that the fetus feels no pain during the removal process.

I believe no matter at what stage, a fetus is its own person. They should be able to make their own decisions and get the chance to live like everyone else. They shouldn’t have to pay for the accident or mistake of another person.

Most cases of abortion are due to unwanted pregnancies. Rape cases are outliers. To make your argument base on the uncommon makes your statement weak.

However, I’m not saying that I don’t feel sympathetic for the women who were rape against their well. But don’t you feel any sympathy for the child who did nothing wrong? Who is innocent and unaware of the situation that is happening around him/her.

Yes, if I was rape, I will keep the child. Regardless of the hatred and disgust, I may have for the other person, it’ll be wrong of me to reflect those feelings on an innocent child.
