i would have been ok if it was Mitsuru's birthday but if it was Kouichi's, i would have preferred if the author didn't show Mitsuru's side... coz that part of his life with Kouichi is over... and showing him like that looking at his phone checking the time and date just seems wrong to me...
i hope if there was a new story for Kouichi, he would become a better man... i still hate him though... i can't stand abusers, especially those who use violence against someone they love...
i was kind of taken aback and got nervous on those scenes where Shougo was bullying Mitsuru and there are dark aura around them... i thought that Mitsuru's trauma from Kouichi's violence would manifest and start a new conflict, but fortunately it didn't and they're happy together...
aside from the fact that Diesel tried to kill Bexan the first time they met, i totally love him... he and Bexan are so funny together! (≧∀≦)

Never said I condoned violence (violence in stories have actually made me ill, even though you cannot tell from this post). And they didn't beat up the friend, they only got him drunk. As yakuza stories go, it would be strange if there was no violence. I've been reading for long enough to recognize a plot device when I see one. This was not violence just for the sake of violence. I am saying that I understand why the mangaka used violence in this part of this story.
It's okay if I don't change your mind on the story line. But, it's a shame you felt the need to belittle someone who was just trying to share their understanding of the story.
