I get angry (at the abusers) and hopeful (for the abused). I figured something bad had happened to the kid, and we see that he's "programmed" for this gratitude thing (the robotic way he starts to do it). I feel so bad for him and want him to be happy. What keeps me going is hope for his happiness, cause his backstory kills me.
