I like how even tho the author introduces new characters in the story, we are still able to see the main characters. Like the author doesn't just focus on the new characters and still show us about their daily problems, lives, and them being loved dovey.

I agree, the relationship is good, mature and healthy! I think our mc deserves all the credit, here. She knows his character well from reading the novel, but she's also mature and with an emotional intelligence high enough to make the best use of what she knows, in every single thing she says and does when she's with him.
