He's a screaming walking red flag yet she is trying to suck up to him (her other favourite method is playing hard to get). She says she hates him but her actions clearly speak otherwise. The only victims in this story are uncle Bill and Kyle. Convince me otherwise. Don't see Leila as a victim but as Matthias' pair villainess with a Stockholm syndrome and watch how you'll start to enjoy reading this manhwa without feeling any guilt ^_^
yeah lol so she had her fist kiss stolen, the artist depicted multiple times that she sees this act from Mathias as disgusting (she washed herself immediately after). Oh he also happens to be her uncle employer and home owner which means that if he wants he can kick them out and Leila knows that… and didn’t you JUST read that she refused to sit with him but he started to make a scene.

I dont know if you another definition of 'like' but I hope this isn't it. None of their interactions were pleasant, or consentual, she doesn't WANT to follow him and listen to his every word but based on her situation as a young adult based in trauma she feels like she HAS to, to not become a burden to her uncle.
She doesn't blush, she doesn't smile, hell she even scrubbed at her body when they kissed and kept having nightmares of that same day, nightmares not dreams...I have yet to see any forms of her liking him and if your basing it off of she thinking about him well I would argue wouldnt you unconsciouly have thoughts of the person who assaulted you because why would they do that when they clearly don't like you!?

idc at the end she does the logical thing by marrying him since she gets pregnant and uncle Bill dies. She was all alone in war time. Anyone in her shoes would do the same, marry the father of her child who could secure her baby’s life. Not to mention that before ending with him she gets bed ridden by the fact he found her… she nearly died because of reuniting with him. As for her blushing in current chapters, it indicates embarrassment from her, she rips his shirt while trying to push him way. Seriously couldn’t you tell or you just want to hate on her since she’s a ‘weak female lead’.

Again, im a manga only reader so im only going off of what ive seen up until now. I dont know MC from the later parts of the novel and I will agreed with you that there could be some love hate relations that could be taking place here, however for MC there is no love in any or these chapters I would agrue that the guy is more battling with a hate love situation.
Will she make stupid decisions in the future? I think so but my main point still stands from my earlier point, as of right now she is a victim and will continue to be until she starts to initiate back these interactions of her own free will. Not coerced into it but because she wanted it.

They both are messed up but on Leila’s end I do get it she has been abused since childhood but Mathias….mf was raised in a good household holding some responsibilities sure but he had no reason to be this crazy. I do feel pain for her because this feels so REAL. More often than none a powerful men will destroy life’s just because he can. I can imagine this happening in the time period the manga is in.
