It seems like Haesoo is going to break up with Taku and get back with Joowon.
Honestly I never really liked Taku because he was quite pushy but I hate the fact that author used him as a plot device to get the main couple together. Joowon was really toxic in the beginning and I liked his character development but both him and Haesoo had major signs of depression that author
cured by 'the power of love'. It's very disappointing. I also can't bring myself to like Haesoo. He had almost 0 development and he was being pushed around by everyone in the whole story.
I honestly would have preferred if the author didn't choose this cliche ending and tried something new for a change like them ending up single and therapy

Joowon felt mostly depressed because he was separated from Haesoo. Haesoo got worse (lost weight) while being in relationship with Taku.
Taku got his own arc and a lot of spotlight so imo it's unfair to say he was just a plot device... we've seen his insight and he got ridiculously a lot of screen time in S3 even in comparison to the end game. In the end you can call everyone left behind in "love triangles" a plot device.
The whole story was about Haesoo's and Joowon's love. How despite of all obstacles and passing years they are still in love with each other. Although they had different partners, they've met other people, they've still loved each other. They've changed, their environment changed, they have been even seperated for few years after divorce, still they've founded each other....
And Haesoo had character development. He reflected on his actions, his and Joowon's relationship. He was the one who said stop to their unchangeable, unhealthy ways at some point. And finally he chose himself and his feelings instead of society's and his mother's views.

I don't think diagnosing someone on a few glimpse of a fictional story can be treated seriously.
He definitely helped in some aspects but he also had his own arc and story. I was just saying he had a role beside helping main couple to get together.
Haesoo was very honest with Taku. He rejected Taku at first. He said he is not in a good state of mind for a new relationship. That he needs more time. But Taku insisted. Begged him on his knees. They had agreement: one month to test waters. And Haesoo tried to be a good bf but in the end he couldn't fall for Taku.

There are many types of depression (major, chronic, maniac etc) whats more feeling sad or down doesn't automatically equal depression. I'm not going to diagnose fictional character basing the diagnose on few scenes and lines. There are criteria which should be fulfilled. Let's not analyse DSM5 or ICD11. There is no point.
And I agree to disagree about Haesoo.

No I get you. You are complaining that author cured their supposed depression with power of love.
Firstly I question your diagnosis. Secondly the treatment in depression is complex one.
Medication helps the best in the mild type depressions. The more severe depression, the worst effects. And medication is not always needed at all.
Secondly therapy. Yes it would be ideal for them to seek therapy if they had depression.
But once again author didn't want to write them in a way that they fight with clinical depression. Being down, sad, reflective are not automatically equals depression.
Also we don't even know what they did during these three years and what happened to their lives....
Came here for the smut but stayed for the story.
