Yeah I think chiaki’s mindset should’ve been explained longer too it was a bit vague haha (￣∇￣") But I guess it was because when he was bullied his friend said that “everything is about money” or sth like that and after that he only had superficial friendships and bonds with everyone. So souchirou was the only expection, only special person for him and finding out that AGAIN everything was about money and their relationship was not “real” from the beginning hurt him. Oof this was long sorry lol
