y'know what, at this point nearing the number assignment, it seems like terajima is hyping up furuya's comeback more and more.
Idk whether his intention is to make the "will he or will he not be the ace" between furuya and eijun more suspenseful or it's to justify his decision later when he'll give the ace number to furuya.
Frankly, i no longer give a fuck how's furuya making his comeback, bcs even during his yips, furuya was still regarded as the ace, that they trust furuya will make a comeback and still hold onto the ace number. Despite eijun CONSTANTLY proving himself to them that he's qualified to be the ace.
Eijun saves them from dire situations that furuya gets the team into MOST of the time. Trained his accuracy, increase his arsenal by practicing various breaking balls, he paces himself really well, and is able to keep calm even when he's cornered. He's also good at communicating and encouraging his team mates on and off the field. His tenacity and determination knows no bound, when literally almost all the first strings doesn't think he's quite there yet.
Honestly what's furuya got is that one super fast ball that apparently looks alive at the base, for whatever that means. He still thinks he's playing baseball by himself, for 400+ chaps he still doesn't get that, maybe, the responsibility to strike out batters isn't only his to bear. Just for comparison's sake, it took kageyama 200 chaps to fully understand how to trust and rely on his team mates instead of just hinata.
I sound so bitter, but to my defense i've held my tounge since ch 79, right after they beat mima's team (i forgot the name sorry). Is that really the attitude someone that doesn't have a stable record could have? I know it's seems like furuya was being a tsundere to sawamura, but that to me looks plain arrogant and no self-reflection at all.
I genuinely want sawamura to take the ace number from furuya when he's at his peak instead of having yips. But i don't trust terajima yuuji at all, he's shown how much he likes furuya since dna act 1. As i see it, sawamura's chance at getting the ace number is getting slimmer by the day no matter how awesome of a game he plays. So rather than getting my hopes up, i'd just stop hoping eijun get the #1. If he does then good for him, if he doesn't fuck terajima yuuji that's what.

I have the same opinion as you are. Sawamura has the ability and attitude of an ace, regardless how furuya perform and not to mention that furuya instability will (has already) cost the team alott if they still keep him as ace. It just... If the ace number is still given to furuya this time, I cannot even imagine how sawamura gonna feel.. Maybe it's just gonna broke his heart and regardless that, do his best to bring team to koshien while furuya is being praised as the ace of a team that goes to koshien.. ╥﹏╥

i know!! And that's what infuriates me tbh. Bcs to me it seems terajima doesn't like eijun as much as he likes furuya. He has been making eijun to be the butt of the jokes so many time already. Like the time when his jhs friends and family come to watch his match for the first time, and he hit dead ball and had yips after. Then again on his first time on the mound in the spring koushien, eijun trips and embarrassed himself thus not being able to show his all, and later known as someone who stumbles his first pitch. While furuya is known as some cool first year who's fastball look alive or some shit. That's all the author decision, tbh if terajima really decides to still give furuya the ace number, i'm done with this manga.

I'm so frickin' touched right now!! I love karasuno's growth throughout this match, especially tanaka and kageyama. Tanaka's character development and growth has been long overdue so i'm really really happy that our future ace got what he deserves. I love that kageyama show of trust, boost his confidence a lot.
And kageyama!!!! I'm so proud of him!!!!! He finally relies on his other team mates' skills. He used to do that only to hinata, but now he's trying to be the setter of tanaka, asahi, daichin, and tsukki. He has a special toss to hinata for the freak quick, and he knows asahi's fave toss, also tsukki's prefered toss, and now tanaka's own toss.
And hello oikawa, long time no see. I love that you can't restrain yourself from watching the match. And get pissy when you see kags has grown again as a setter

At this point i rather not have love line at all. After getting rejected taichi stopped his nice guy act, and act accordingly to his feelings, and decide to play karuta for himself rather than because it pleases chihaya. But now he became this destructive player that basically have a 'fucking level everything' attitude if things doesn't go his way. He's hurt and he wants other to be hurt too. What an asshole. An interesting asshole though.

Pudding is so much more interesting now that she's evil. Finally oda gives us a proper female villain after letting us down with violet back in dressrosa. Totland arc is so full of awesome female characters being awesomely evil, cruel and cunning huehehe. Too bad for sanji though. But oda always ties up loose ends, and there's no fucking way he's gonna kill any of the strawhats, maybe he's gonna take a limb or two, but SH got franky, and i bet he's gonna make a super prosthetic limb yohohoho. Now i'm curious how he's gonna resolve this arc without messing the power balance before luffy defeats kaido.
aaaaackkkk not kinrouuuuuu T____T
