i loved this story so much when I first read it, particularly his personality, humour and the artstyle were a huge factor after the story. however it's become so obvious the author is leaning towards a stereotypical harem. i don't think the humour can even save it, the harem is so unnecessary!!!
I wish I could tell the author we would still read the story without this massive harem and that kiyoung's personality/character is enough!!!
and I like hayan in the start, it was funny how kiyoung manipulates or interacts with her, and how she responds, but the more and more girls being added to kiyoung's slowly made me hate them all.
does anyone actually WANT the harem? i guaranteed 99.9% of readers only kept read because of kiyoungs character and the world, not the hardm.
and theres another rant: I hate seeing kiyoungs character degrade. not that he becomes a little kinder, it's just done in such a bad way. I hate that it feels like he cycles through girls WHILE liking them!! without liking them, I think it could have been maybe funny??? I don't know how to put it. I just hate it. him becoming slightly kinder(or just seeing his companions as more than skill or tools) could have been done so much better!!
anyway, reading this is literally painful. at some moments, I'm able to completely forget about this weird harem and it feels like it felt when I first read this, and then they're back again. im going to keep reading, but honestly there's little hope for the story right now. (atleast for me)
Honestly, i doubt anyone likes the harem, i just like the girls as individuals because in the novel, they had their own moments and unique characteristics.
Also Kiyoungs character in the novel is much more likeable, because he is pretty manipulative and rightfully so because he is in a foreign land and all those girls were just helpful to him being close, and he also acknowledges himself as a bad guy but with story actually learns to cherish people. In the manhwa the change can't be seen since it's made so lighthearted
Ikr....he uses himself as a trophy like he literally sells his body to garner favours yes for the team, but yeah he carousels through women,you could say,he's kind of like a giggolo,but yk that's actually pretty normal considering our work life,especially women tk what I'm hinting at, and then I used to love the art,it was brilliant but now......its just seems cheap version trying to match up with the previous one,I really like his manipulative and cunning nature and also his soft side,he is actually a realistic mc unlike those ideal Op mcs,but I did want to see some serious improvement on Hayan's character
