First off: just because this is the same author does not mean it will end the same way. It's different characters with a completely different setting and should be treated as such.
Also, now that I've seen so much hate and it's begun to really bug me, personally, it was a breath of fresh air for the shoujo genre that the author went with the one who had always been supporting her. It is so often you see the heroine ending up with the one who broke her heart numerous times and is an immature brat, but somehow wins her over because "I was here first". That's not how real life works, you fall out of love and toxic relationships and find someone who's good for you, and that's what happened there. It amazes me that people can't seem to grasp how toxic sensei was for her and romanticizes the behaviour. Yikes.
Yeah sensei is toxic for her, but if the heroine doesn't end up with the sensei this time round again, there will be an outrage for sure
i agree and disagree at the same time? personally i liked the ending of HNR as well, but obviously a lot of people didn't. that the same thing will happen here of course isn't set in stone, but a lot of authors tend to reuse certain tropes they like in several of their works. so i totally get their worries, but I do agree that mentioning it all the time is becoming a little bit irritating.
as for the being toxic part, I wouldn't count this sensei out yet. He can often be very insensitive and if they don't fix their communication issues this relationship can turn sour real fast.
I agree that this sensei is still doing okay for now, but I wonder what would happen if the dad finds out about their relationship. This manga seemed light hearted so far so I think it will turn out ok.. probably
Sure, but considering the author's other works, I would say people have been extremely quick to jump to conclusions based on ONE of her stories, as her others have not been like HNK. Of course, it's her most popular manga, but people are constantly bringing it up and being sour which is just annoying in the long run, haha.
I think if people have read Sugars (which I really really love), there are a few bittersweet moments for some of the characters where things don't end how I thought it would etc.. (so bad for my heart, but at the same time its so refreshing) so I can kinda imagine something major dramatic and plot twisty happening soon? ( ̄∇ ̄")
I loved HNR’s ending, I was team mamura rom the beginning <3 but tsubaki Chou needs to end with Fumi and sensei, I won’t have it any other way

It confuses me, though. He is talking as if he DON'T hold romantic feelings for her and only see their relationship as purely platonic. But I could swear I remember Mitsuhide being deeply jealous multiple times.
That's what I think too, that he loves her, but the problem here is that Mitsuhide made up his mind to never marry and made an oath, a knight's oath, which are supposedly unbreakable, of not marrying. The idiot! The only solution I see it's Zen getting involved since he's the one Mitsuhide serves. ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ
Still, what a shitty way to turn someone down if you actually DO love them! He's speaking as if he doesn't, like be a little tactful about it, jfc Mitsuhide( ̄へ ̄)It seems really insensitive!
Completely agree with you there (︶︿︶)=凸 he really is insensitive just because he knows her and prefers to be brutally honest. Honesty can be quite hurtful when one is tactless *sigh* thank goodness for Kiki's character.
Or maybe he's just not in love with Kiki and it sucks to be forced in a relationship with someone you like as a friend only. Also Kiki and Mitsuhide are long time friends and comrades, he can talk like this to her because he knows she won't get offended by it and let it be.
That's what I'm saying, though. Just also noting that there have been very different stuff in the past that tells otherwise.
