I'm getting a little bit annoyed-- Rum never really seemed to like Ginger in the first place, and he keeps saying he doesn't want to do it with him or even kiss. It's always Ginger expressing such things. The closest was "If I had to do it with someone, I would want it to be with you", but that's just?????? (I'm at ch 27 rn)

Well... I think it's just new for Rum, I mean the relationship things. lol
I think someone suggested that Rum was possibly asexual. That he just doesn't think of doing sexual things even though he is able to.
As for him not seeming to like Ginger in the beginning, I disagree. There were small moments where Rum was jealous and seemed to like Ginger, but the story is told from Ginger's POV so we never really get Rum's thoughts and feelings. I think Rum is just a stoic character who doesn't let his emotions and desires show unless it seems necessary.
Though, I did think the confession scene was rather rushed. I wanted there to be a couple chapters where Rum was angry at Ginger for reading his memories before forgiving him.
You just need to read this chapter before jumping to conclusions.

Not jumping to conclusions, though! I just personally - in my opinion - feel like it was rushed and all of a sudden there was a character change, though it hadn't been expressed in the previous chapters. It didn't make sense to me. Good it did for you. :)
