Yes the premise is unhealthy, not something you'd want to promote IRL, but as fiction it was strangely intriguing as well and when the two actually got into their arrangement, surprisingly sweet and respectful. Funny how the seme might have started as a molestor but he does actually listen to the MC, even comes up with a safe word and adheres to it. A twisted start but in truth there never was a non-con act between the two.

*sigh* To think I originally rated this 5 stars. Well, it has come to a point in which I ended up dropping it. Started out as great, one of my absolute favorites, for it had plenty of intrigue, pleasing artstyle, and was doing such a nice job dodging some of the most obvious clichés.

The MC Sooyoung was a strong-willed man who wasn’t afraid to fight back even on crutches. In fact this was cleverly used as a source for some character flaws, making him vulnerable in some ways while very strong in others. E.g. Sooyoung was in a toxic relationship and had a pretty warped idea of sex, even used it as a coping mechanism. He was also very willing to throw himself at dangerous situations because he basically had no care for his own body at all.

The story seemed to be going for a very interesting and welcoming angle because the seme Taesung, after realizing Sooyoung's carelessness and messed up attitude towards sex, was kinda teaching him to take better care of his own body and desires. Chapters 23-24 had an especially lovely scene where the seme really went through the effort to have the MC enjoy himself, checking for consent multiple times. Man did I love that! Plus, a violent mafia boss who most certainly has his flaws but also a surprisingly healthy attitude towards sex, even refusing it when he thought Sooyoung was not in the right mind to demand it? “More stuff like this plz!”, I thought.

Now though, there’s not even a point of the MC being a boxer anymore. He’s been reduced to a damsel in distress who’s just stuck in another toxic relationship(s), constantly needs to be saved and is repeatedly taken advantage of. The seme went the usual “possessive douchebag wanting to own him like a pet” route (all under the guise of protection course), ditching all the previous elements I found so refreshing. Ugh! I’m well aware of him being a criminal so it’s no surprise he’s not some perfect goody two shoes but I am so damn tired of these type of plots and characters, especially because at the beginning the story seemed to be doing something actually refreshing and new with them.

There’s also a shitton of gratuitous VERY prolonged sex scenes which don’t even have a point anymore (except smut) whereas before they had some story relevance as well like revealing new characteristics. Guess those who enjoy brainless smut will have a field day but, sorry, I’m the type of person who finds smut for the sake of smut boring af. Even art style has gotten rather ridiculous and unappealing over time with semes overdosing on steroids, getting buff as fuck, while the MC seems to have shrunken down. (Minhuyk is especially hilarious, his head doesn’t seem to even fit his body.)

I’m really sad with the direction this manhwa went. It had such promise. Maybe I’ll keep occasionally glancing at it for any actual development but we’ll see.

Such a stunning manga. I love how unique it is, I love the art, I love the plot, I love the characters. And I too must say: SO damn refreshing to see bi- and pansexuality acknowledged! That like never happens. And the way Kuroiwa mentioned this too, this complete casualness about his sexual orientation, it's so lovely.

Now this was fun. May have some dark and twisted themes (suicide, murder, Stockholm syndrome) but everything's told in a very quirky and playful way so I just found this weirdly wholesome and funny.

Fast paced and simple but gets bonus points from art, characterizations, overall fluff and BUNNIES. It’s just a sweet little story to enjoy when you want some light reading. I absolutely love the way the artist draws the seme and his resting bitch face. His personality is refreshing as well. He’s taking care of the uke but does this in a manner that respects their own ambition. I get irritated by semes who just be like “Well I’m rich and ur poor so I’ll now solve all your problems whether u like it or not!” That can just make you feel like a cheap freeloader.

The one negative I have is that the lackluster sex scenes did nothing for me. Especially the first one. The characters kinda just did the deed while staying silent as if it was some sort of obligatory scene they wanted to be done with. IMO they could have saved it for later for a way better scene. Also, really disliked the side story couple (red flags!) but Imma just ignore them.

He came on to the poor guy so aggressively when he was obviously at a vulnerable state. Made those weird faces too. Is he looking for a quick rebound himself or gets off on the other one being upset? Dunno, maybe I'm wrong and he genuinely wanted to help. I just want happiness for this sweetheart seme. He was done dirty by his shitty cheater of an ex.

Beautiful art and very interesting premise with several intriguing elements. However, in the end it kind of felt like this had a too ambitious setting for what it was actually willing to deliver. It’s mostly about smut so good for those satisfied with that. I tend to look for more and was expecting more because of that fascinating premise. Still glad I read it but the untapped potential left me feeling it should have been a longer, more in-depth manga.

Charming little story about a ballerina breaking free of her constraints and basically saying "Fuck it, I do what I want!" Has this really subtle and mature feel which I enjoyed. However, the ending left me a bit empty and I think they could have gone further with the story. Since the MC made a pretty big deal about her virginity and the old guy admitted feeling self-conscious about showing his naked body to someone young like her, I was actually very curious how a more intimate moment between the two would go. They could have kept it subtle, no smut needed (nor would it fit with the atmosphere I think), but I just wanted SOMETHING more. Funny, this is like the first time I read a story which did not have a sex scene but I WANTED one. Usually I don't care whether there is one or not.

Beware a wall of text... 1. Romanticized rape/abuse Look, I’m fine with twisted stories and toxic relationship portrayals because portraying something isn’t the same as condoning it. HOWEVER, for that argument to work, presentation matters! So, ffs, at least acknowledge the reality of that situation and address the issues. Stop normalizing it......

Such a beautiful, perfectly paced story with great characters. Conveys really well the feelings of loneliness, how the MC graves for human warmth but at the same time is afraid of it. I also must commend the refreshing way the story used the high schooler and the boss. In most BL mangas it’s like a rule that the first (attractive) person the MC sets their eyes on is the destined love interest. Here instead the character plays a different but still an important role, making it so that it’s not only the love interest who is instrumental in the MC’s healing process. Both his boss and the high schooler provided him with something precious. I liked that a lot.

Shouldn't have been drinking coffee while reading this. That tattoo made me snort so hard I almost blew it out of my nose. Wtf man?

Tbh I find the guards and Thomas to be the best characters so far. They are so endearing.

I have a soft spot for "looks scary af but is a sweetheart" kind of things but why is everyone around the ML acting like an idiot? EVEN the adults who should be way more mature and objective about this seeing how they are, you know, adults and TEACHERS at that. This is the kind of misunderstanding that just gets frustrating because there's no like... relatable reason to how the characters are behaving. Sure, judgmental idiots who just assume without proof exist irl but here basically everyone has taken the same brand of stupid pills.

"What u want?" "Food." "K." The End.
Lol, brevity is the soul of wit I guess. Still manages to be strangely engaging because of its' interesting premise and beautiful art.

This has such a fun atmosphere so far, making it a really easy and enjoyable read. Also for some reason I just loooove how expressive the henchmen are, like facepalming and going "Woah" when the MC listed all the things stolen from him.

Mangonificent answered question about sexual orientation
Asexual. Semi heteroromantic I guess since I can find men very aesthetically attractive but it's more akin to... "art appreciation" cuz I have no real desire to have a romance.

Lol I have no idea how I ended up reading this (the genre definitely ain't my usual cup of tea) but I'm actually really glad I did because I never expected something this wholesome. The ML is absolute top notch. So kind, respectful and patient.

The seme from okane ga nai. He's just absolutely reprehensible. No I haven't actually watched or read the series btw I read an old livejournal post on it by a user called Zarla which is freaking hilarious

That fluffball is the cutest fucking thing ever so like, get outta here with that "disgraceful form" bs. I wanted to kick everyone who ever called him dirty trash and smother both of the main characters with hugs and kisses.
Such a good mix of fluff and angst. While the story might be kind of basic and has some elements I'm usually not the biggest fan of I ended up not caring because this seriously gave me the feels.

Mangonificent created a topic of Legs That Won't Walk

I love how Mafia Daddy is basically teaching the MC to take better care of himself. Before he has had no limits or concerns for his body and that's because he has been conditioned to this line of thinking (i.e. getting constantly beat down in both the boxing ring and a toxic relationship).
