One of my all time favorites. I love it how despite the story being dark and having good amount of angst and violence, the relationship between the two is heartwarmingly pure. No twisted rapey stuff, just real love and passion.
Such a good read which finely addresses issues that might be present in an age gap romance while not forgetting the wholesome moments. I also find the art charming, it’s refreshingly unique, and the visual storytelling is beautifully done. However...
I have a significant aversion towards misunderstanding tropes and here the whole story is built around one(s). At times this made the experience extremely frustrating, even reached a point in which I was screaming: “MOTHERFUCKER, USE YOUR WOOOOORDS!!!!” I realize the relationship is intentionally messy and that’s fine. These are flawed characters who make mistakes and later acknowledge them. But dear lord, when the main misunderstanding is something that could be solved with just ONE sentence but it drags on and on because the uke completely refuses to communicate his thoughts, EVEN when the seme directly asks “Let’s talk so I can do something about it.”... that's just irritating on a stupid level. IMO this could have been cut shorter while putting some more attention to the ending which, in contrast, felt rather abrupt.
For previous (and other) reasons the MC increasingly pissed me off. Not that the seme is perfect, nor does he have to be, but I still found him relatable and charming. Thankfully, my annoyances didn’t stop me from enjoying the romance because the chemistry and sexual tension between the two was great. Even all the sex scenes kept me highly invested (yes, I actually easily get bored of those if proper context or sensuality is missing). Really loved how sweet and responsible the seme was, taking some time to actually educate the overeager uke.
All in all, I must commend the quality of this work because it has tropes I dislike but still managed to keep me heavily invested.
Pfft, this is hilarious so far. I love how gangster daddy has no filter. Like, yeah, kick some "dickwad" out of the line, then tell the cashier how handsome they are, then ignore them in the middle of their speech, then talk about stabbing people with some other "fuckwad".
The second couple sold this to me. So much depth, emotion and drama in just 2 chapters. Had a lot of potential for a longer story but I’m still impressed how much was done with so little. Might have helped too that the boss is totally my type. During the first half I already was like “… would you like to step on me fine sir?” (lol) so color me very pleasantly surprised when he wasn’t just a side character.
The story of the first couple, while I wouldn’t call it bad, it just didn’t immerse me in the same way.
I'm so enamored with this. The immersion, the artstyle, the characters, the build up... it's just... *chef kiss*.
Omegaverse isn't my cup of tea at all but I found the art very attractive so gotta be a shallow bitch and give this a chance just to oogle at the pretty art lol. (Well, maybe it can surprise me otherwise as well though I doubt that.)
Picked this up a while ago and read a couple of chapters every night before bed. Good choice for that since the artstyle and slow pace conveyed this relaxing, calm atmosphere despite all the drama. Does such a good job developing the plot and its’ characters, even made me cry at one point (Merry’s mom ಥ﹏ಥ). The relationship between Sooho and Merry was so wholesome. Was actually surprised how affectionate and even playful Sooho was because at the beginning I expected him to be this aloof type of character.
Unfortunately the ending felt a bit rushed. Poor Anemone really deserved some more resolution IMO. Such a wonderful lady but her involvement kind of just stopped without us even getting her reaction to a tragedy involving her. I'd have loved to hear how she moved on. And what about Merry's childhood friend? Seemed like she was developing a crush for Anemone but that element was completely dropped. Was a bit disappointing since the story otherwise took its' time with all the development but here in the end, not so much.
Pfft, should I feel ashamed I kinda liked it? I mean, here we have a man completely botching his kinky revenge because the victim is 100% into it. The poor guy be like ”Plz fear me! Imma rape you!?” and the victim be like “Oh yes plz do daddy!". Phahahaha! It's so bizarre it made me laugh.
I'm loving this so much. It has this really serene, calming atmosphere. It's taking its' time, not rushing the development, not afraid of being subtle, and it all just feels sensual and mature. Really unique and charming artwork as well.
Incest is something I usually avoid but for some reason it did not bother me here at all. Maybe because it was written in such a good and plausible way, maybe because I really liked how the characters interacted. It didn't feel creepy or forced, it felt real.
Other good stories here too like the 2 jobless men bonding over a hilarious misunderstanding. This story was also really interesting because the author described it as their "first BL manga... just without boys and love" (lol).
Beautiful art and a touching little story which, despite being short, managed to convey a lot of emotion and personality. Refreshing to see BL representation for older men as well. I have little interest for some immature schoolboys boinking so this was nice.
