I don’t see comment threads on manga warning people to stay away cause there’s rape.... instead it’s just fighting back and forth between people who defend rape (and make excuses for it) and people who recognize the rape for what it is (who understand the difference between right and wrong).

So it’s ironic to see a thread where people stop reading a manga just cause of the number of characters having consensual sex.

mangago is pretty toxic im only here for the manga and i do join translating groups i just realized that anything you say that is a sensible argument gets deleted and shut down by people who are arrogant and ungrateful im slowly leaving mangago and you should to lol

Where would I go? I’m here cause I can’t afford to buy every single manga. Many aren’t even translated for purchase anyway.

I used to follow most of the scantalation groups on tumbler, but they all left when censorship became a thing. Some moved to discord, but it’s not the same.

i recommend mangadex they actually support the scanalators and just do discord man you gotta adapt sure what your doing rn is just rinse and repeat and is easier cuz its all right in front of you its easy you just wait for notifications and such but in reality peoples hard work are being stolen you should just support them how hard is that? besides by being on this site your supporting the action of stealing peoples hard work. sure it might be a hassle of trying to find where their website is but its worth it because your respecting those people.

Also its a lot more healthier. I say this because I used to read manga every. single. day. all hours just on this site refreshing to see if any updates happened but I learned that if you venture out your not tied to one site and your reading manga a lot less have more time for yourself rather than being curled up in your bed constantly reading forgetting about your social life idk about you but thats me lol

I was super unhealthy i finally figured my life together and appreciate every update and if your on discord you can actually talk to the people who work hard and see there struggles of dealing with there real life and translating manga for the benefit of others while they dont get anything in return which makes you be even more appreciative.

Anyway man you do you idk your life maybe you have your shit together more than me but just go to mangadex of google (or reddit) those tumblr groups maybe they made a website of there own k theres my 2 cents lol

also what are you gonna do when this site gets deleted or something? you have to learn to accept it before it even happens so might as well be prepared and have all the people who translate the manga on the side so you arent left out once its all gone (since there have been moments where this site has been gone and then comeback)

another thing is morals like your argument with rape you say that it is wrong for people to say that because its fictional its okay for rape and how that is a crime regardless of fiction but if you think about what your doing, like reading manga off this site that is stealing other peoples hard work, your okay with being on such a site because of financial issues arent you being a hypocrite?

i mean i dont have money either i havent spent a dime on a single manga that has been translated but i still try to make the effort of going on different sites and trying to find different options. Anyway lol i dont wanna accuse you or anything because im not im just trying to set an example

I’ve never actually understood the why scantalation teams claim ownership over their work. Yes, they worked hard to scan, clean, redraw, translate, edit and typeset manga. I can see how they feel they deserve ownership and credit for their hard work.

I find that the most hypocritical of all though. Cause that’s how the actual author feels when their work is stolen and translated by a scantalation group. Except that the author does this for a living. So they can eat and pay rent. When groups translate stuff that’s already available in English. The author loses income. They have to work even harder if they want to continue to pay rent. Just cause someone stole from them.

If a manga/manhwa has as official English translation, I try to buy the chapters I can. To support the author. But also, I don’t going around giving people a hard time for not doing so. Not everyone has the money or access. Like this one. I tried, but just couldn’t get an account.

What happens if a scantalation group gets their work stolen? They lose bragging rights? Sorry, but I don’t care. It’s not like they’re the original author. If your gonna get up on your high horse about something. At least pick supporting the authors.

Then why dont you support the author? at the end of the day your on this site because its simple and easy and its a hassle to go and actually support them (im not saying thats you or me im just stating in general) I completely agree in terms of the author yes but they actually respect the authors wishes they always say to pay the author even if its in another language you pay them that chapter and then read the translation why do you think they have password protected sites or stop all translations once the author states they dont want this? (for example The Villain's Savior the translator group completely stopped the translation for the respect of the author)

and then everyone gets mad that they stopped because of the authors wishes im saying at the end of the day at least choose the people who respect and support the author or just pay for the manga and support them like wait for your pay check and then go on a binge thats better than constantly reading the manga once its updated

idk everyone has there own opinions and morals i cant tell you what to do anyway but everyone is like 2 sides of the same dime regardless of what you think is wrong or not you might still end up being on this site or actually take a moment and do those things At least we still think of the author and those groups who translate them rather than be completely oblivious and arrogant to everything
