Do not make assumptions based on spoilers because novel is so much more complex. It has 113 chapters, 30 of those are pure angst and the rest of it is about two people(mostly ML) trying to restore what he destroyed and gain FLs trust. It’s a very good story, and even if it seems unfair some of the times, it still has lots of feelings to unravel. And don’t get me wrong, ML is 100% on fault and he deserves miserable life of an empty shell he got after splitting with FL.

Okay so MC actually didn’t end up with anyone, she broke up with her boyfriend (brown haired dude) and Mary is in jail, but she DID confess her love to Mary and they kissed. But in the end MC cut all her ties with Mari.
And all that school bullying stuff, Mari actually tried to drive MC away as far as possible to save her from cult and her crazy mom. But Mari herself is also crazy so MC is like “nope” at the end
