(bear in mind that everything im gonna say here is taking place far far faaar ahead in the story, i don't know the exact chapters but it's going to take quite some time for the manhwa to get there)
so it's not a secret that navier divorce the shit emperor and marries the blonde king (forgot his name), the reason the emperor gave for the divorce was: "the empress didn't produce an heir after so many years together, hence, she's infertile. I need an heir so bye bye navier" (it was only a convenient excuse); later on in the story the dumb concubine gets pregnant and gives birth prematurely to a girl, hoe gets mad 'cause a girl can't inherit the throne and throw her own baby on the carpet (yeah, she's cray cray); one of her maids tell the emperor and he gets mad, dumb hoe says it wasn't her and blame the maid, but the emperor doesn't believe her since he had already seen that she could be cruel b4; he takes the baby away from her and tell the maid to take care of the lil princess; then we get to know that NAVIER IS PREGNANT YEE HAW ヾ(☆▽☆). Navier is super happy 'cause she thought that she couldn't bear a child, the king is also super happy yay;
but then y'all must be like: "wait a damn minute, she spent so much time with the emperor and never got pregnant but after some time with the king she's already expecting a baby??". Yeah, it seems like the infertile one was the emperor (the novel doesn't say it but it's pretty clear); buT WAIT A MINUTE didn't he just have a baby girl with the dumb concubine?? well well it looks like the baby isn't his (the novel also doesn't say it but it's obvious); the emperor is ofc oblivious to all this. Now we waiting for him to discover that navier is pregnant and connect the dots lmao
Thank you so much. I needed this. I was getting so frustrated that the concubine and the emperor were so disrespectful to Navier no matter what. I wanted her to just find her happiness with heinley so much and those two rude ones get the karma they deserved.

'cause i honestly don't lol no matter how tragic his past was at this point i already despise him too much to care ╮(￣▽￣)╭ the "im a dick and make other people suffer but hey i already suffered a lot in the past so you should forgive me" kind of character doesn't appeal to me at all, i know it's wishful thinking but i really wanted the MC to kick his ass and find a better LI or just stay single
He isn't a character like that at all. He tries so hard to make the FL forgive him, he even says i have no right to say i love you. His character development is amazing and his tragic backstory isn't for us to pity him but to understand his thinking better

If you're starting to read this now please have in mind that there will be a LOT of frustrating things happening, the MC will suffer a LOT and you'll want to kill the emperor and the dumb concubine thousands of times, I started reading the novel because I couldn't wait anymore, the so awaited divorce only happens in the chapter 164(in the novel, have no idea how many chapters the manhwa will take to get to this point) and even after that the shit emperor still acts annoying so be prepared, nevertheless it's a good story read if you have the chance
