Here's a story that's spanned only 6 chapters and has a pretty minimal and simplistic plot line. But as seen in the comments, it's obviously really well received. Why? Because the story has emotional impact.
It kinda got me thinking how with alot of these 'wholesome' yaoi stories (or 'hidden gems') the x factor is just simply just romance. Like just creating a story that shows how 2 people genuinely care and come to love each other.
Like I know we all indulge in fujoshi trash and those same old yaoi tropes and cliches. But it's nice when that gets stripped away. The characters become people and not just there to fulfil genre roles e.g., uke vs seme

Sorry I've only just gotten around to binge reading this now. The plot wasn't confusing - and I saw the character development and growth of all the various relationships. It's just unaddressed aspects of the plot that got me haha.
****SPOILERS FROM HERE****
So, okay. We find out the origins of the drug was founded by Ryan's sister and her lil group as a means to kill aristocrats due to mistreatment and oppression of half bloods and people. Cool, okay easy to follow.
We also know that this Edwin dude who is also an aristocrat uses this drug for ill will, I guess for power and control (never addressed??) and wants to kill the Selvor family (forgot exact name soz) since they were attempting to create an antidote. Ryan then raises and protects said family and those around them to carry on his sisters legacy I guess?
Again cool, easy to follow.
Soooo....What happened to Edwin and that organisation? What was his plan? Why did he want to kill Ryan in particular (not just everyone?). Why is it that after finding out about Christoph suddenly everything dies down - like WHY do all the corrupted vampire attacks go away? Also what about actual people and half-bloods issue? Are they still getting killed, maimed and SOLD? lol. Maybe I've missed some stuff who knows.
Plot wise - I wanna see this ship go down and this mess move forward hahaha
But like human living in real world side wants to sit Amami down and tell him that receiving the absolute bare minimum from a potential partner isn't gonna go anywhere worth it. Poor kiddo.
