Uhh im so confused, can someone sum up what's going on?? Im reread the whole chapters, and i still dont understand ╥﹏╥
There are 3 nations:
1. The holy nation, led by the saintess who is guided by the Goddess (in this case, the saintess is fake. More on that note later).
2. The magic empire, led by a royal family who are granted powers from a demon king.
3. The principality, which is protected by the black dragon.
In Leticia's first life, a delegation came from the Empire (no. 2 on the list above) to attend the wedding.
Noelle and Ahuin was selected to escort this delegation back. Ahuin was ordered to release the Magical Beast, Valenos (the giant scorpion) on this mission. That resulted in a lot of destruction and death, as well as Ahuin's own injury.
In this life, Noelle and Ahuin was instead selected to escort Leticia + the principality's delegation home, which led Leticia to suspect that Valenos would be released in a different place (a.k.a. near Leticia and her husband).
She suspected this alteration of history, was due to her own changed actions.
Therefor she went to plead with Ahuin, to stop him from releasing the monster.
Originally, Ahuin would release Valenos relatively close to the holy capital, so he was busy setting up a barrier to protect the city.
However, Leticia's awakened powers allowed her to call out to him and block his powers, while he was doing so. Therefor he can't release it right away, and she hopes to have more time on their journey to convince him to not do it at all.
As for the boy in the dessert, that is the Black Dragon. He is accompanied by the Demon King, who is merely a speck of dust at this time.
They both helped the Goddess turn back time, when Leticia died previously and that has taken a toll on all 3 of them, leaving them in their current state.
Even so, the Goddess sends down 2 oracles, the night before the wedding, to warn the Leticia's mother (the fake saintess), that her death is near.
Leticia's mother was selected to be a temporary proxy for the Goddess when she was 15 yo. Why the Goddess needed to appoint someone temporarily is not yet known.
However, Leticia's mother was not satisfied being temporary. She wanted to be the saintess for the rest of her life, so she made a shady deal with a shady dude.
We don't yet know who the shady dude is. Neither do we know how he immitates/retains the Goddess power within the fake saintess.
However, this temporary position + the shady deal is what allows Leticia's mother to fake her saintess-status, keep her influence over the wings and interpret oracles.

In the first life, Noelle and Ahuin escorted a delegation from nation no. 2.
In this life, they are escorting a delegation from nation no. 3.
