every single time I read a rapey manga there are people who didn't get the memo about the appeal of the dark, and the way fiction can allow you to explore it.
It has been widely proven by studies that fear/shock and excitement (even sexual excitement) have the same neurological responses. This is why so many people experience guilty (since they're not societally approved of) dark desires that they'd not endorse in real life, and why role-playing in bdsm is so popular.
What I'm saying is, these desires are natural and they don't mean that you accept the real life situations behind them or would ever act anything like the characters.
THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FICTION AND REALITY. A VERY VERY BIG ONE.
