dokja is an apostle of the , which is essentially the worlds true ending. every constellation/person/etc that's been bestowed a description for the 'end' (which are very few) has to meet certain criteria. when the qualifications are met, the filtering goes away and each of their end descriptions are different, and personal to them.

he isn't yet qualified / doesn't know enough to be granted his own "true ending", and seeing it before he meets the qualifications surpasses the amount of probability allowed (enough to summon another outer god). Staring at 'the end' too long incurred a probability storm (causing the lightning and dokja coughing blood) so the fourth wall forcibly turned back on.

In my understanding, he gave a part of the flame to his brother to protect the castle when he's out of war, I mean, someone needs to defend their wall right when he's out right? They need someone stronger. He's still the duke, and he still got some flames power to properly weild the disaster sword. But I'm not sure if that's really it.

i swear yall need to read…his entire goal here is to make the dimitri dukedom self sustaining and the best that no one can look down. he can’t do that alone, and that’s why he’s fostering talents like chris the hector guy and even buying out mage towers. it makes logical sense why he’d want rodwell to be prepared in case he isn’t there to defeat dimitri?? like you don’t put all your eggs in one basket, that’s dumb asf.
