One can not even imagine childhood abuse could affect on person throughout their whole life. Yes his current actions can not be justified but only once in while people turn out to be good like Dan. I sympathize with Jaekyung i hope he'll heal from all trauma he has faced that turned him like this. I would like to see more of his character development.
