It's not only in yaoi. Have you seen people in real life? Some don't even try to talk about an issue until they bottled it up for a long time that they finally explode (or they fake it till they make it, discreetly). Then you're surprised and it's a big WTF moment

Normally I would 100% agree with the non existence of communication skills in yaoi lol but this one so far is such a tough subject. It's not like he can just say "hey I was molested as a young child by a guy and now have trauma surrounding that" even for an adult that would be a super hard thing to say. But if more yaoi can get the "just talk damn It!!" Memo that'd be great
