If you are in a relationship be it gay lesbian or heterosexual, you should tell your friends you are in a relationship. Jungwoo was introduced as a friend so of course it’s going to hurt him and start acting all possessive and jealous because nobody knows that his partner is in a relationship. I think you can’t sag this situation is because of “Insecurities” Maybe from Ji won but from him is just that there is no self confidence. He is scared to tell his friends about his relationship. Obviously because he is scared they might know he is gay and secondly it might drag down Jungwoos career.

Either parties are selfish in their own ways but it’s completely understandable. Yes, if you love someone you should give them assurance. But on the other hand if you love someone you should also take their feelings of not wanting to share that you’re in a gay relationship into consideration.
