he made up this story about being a stupid, sickly womanizer so people wouldn't take him seriously/see him as a threat. way to avoid more frequent assassination attempts among some other things he made up and blew out of proportion.
he's what you'd call a green flag... to an insane level. literally an amazing, healthy partner to have. 10/10 communication, a romantic, considerate and patient lover. but he still acts questionnably, is a weird fella an keeps teasing mc, and is still the annoying guy mc knew and resented for valid reasons in his past life. both can coexist, and it's okay. that's what makes their relationship so good and worth reading 1k chapters about.
Though I know what Iklis did was actually wrong, the author should also emphasize that iklis is just starting his life and is completely idiot and still forming his brain cells that’s why he can’t make a strategic plan =(

Is this worth reading? I had been reading 1k manhwa till now and this one fell to the red flag troupe. The male lead is trash in the first 5 chapter I read and I dont plan on going on even farther. Male lead is manipulative and is kinda giving me a womanizer vibe anyways bye.

If you’re into the typical shoujo manga eith the complex love story or flowery romance then maybe this isn’t for you.
It’s pretty clear from chapter 1 that both MC and ML are out there for blood so the romance part here just felt secondary. A lot of readers got a bit disappointed with how their romance developed but I enjoyed it. It’s what to be expected from two warriors who had no idea what romantic love is.
But since their primary goal is cleared already, side stories to supplement their love story would be nice

If you're looking for something with a lot of romance and a side of conflict (the way a lot of these are) then this isn't for you. This is conflict with a sauce cup of romance. The story is well done IMO but the leads reflect what they're dealing with accordingly - they don't really face their feelings much until near the end. They acknowledge that there's something there but due to what their story is and their characters they focus on the serious stuff first. For me personally that's what makes it good.

Was reading chapter 1 and when the dialogue came “I’m actually a woman” I was in utter despair. No amount of disappointment can measure how dismayed I am lol. Maybe because I’m so tired of straight romance like I think I’ve had read 300+ manhwa/hua/ga with this kind of plot. It’s a cliche, making it BL would literally be unique so yeah. Still gonna read this tho since I kinda love the flow but yeah this should have been BL or make it GL idk HAHAHA
