That aside, this was way too over-the-top for me to enjoy myself. They treat the dom dynamic like it's a super power and Serizawa's character sucks not only personality-wise, but also bc he's just a flat plot device. It made the "climatic scene" much more annoying than climatic, and the resolution doesn't feel earned at all. There's so much going on and nothing happens. What did I even read atp

highkey tho, i think kangwook had such a strong character development for a bg character in a manhwa that only has 30 chapters. like his development didn't happen due to one "inspiring" event, it happened over multiple various events that he had witnessed or was a part of, and he had a range of responses to them, too. at one point he was inspired, another he felt guilty, and another he felt angry/defensive, and all those feelings were flip-flopped throughout the chapters, showing his internal battle/argument with how he's coming to see himself as well as others.

BRUH this started out as an absolute straight-man fantasy on the first chapter, and within the next ten chapter it became an absolute RIOT of a self-aware stereotype, and then by the next 20 chapters all of the satire main cast became 4D characters with magical girl transformations of a character arc. like HOLY shit.
i wonder if kihoon's past self as a guard also had a scar in the same place, as a significant part of his life/career during that time
lowkey, im kinda scared about the granny hate like i dont think she's that insufferable imo, and she looks troubled by the fact she's not passing, either. it kinda looks like she's waiting or looking for someone at church, tbh, or has an emotional reason for attending. maybe it's just me being too invested, but i have a very religious grandma too, and she passed earlier this year. so seeing this grandma only makes me pity her, bc i doubt she doesnt want to pass, either

UGH i love representation of ppl who aren't teenagers or young adults. like even the twerp is mid-thirties, the sword saint + cleaver dude are old as hell and sure act like it (sword saint, TOTALLY clocked her as those grandmas with just her pride, and i love it), and MC primarily interacts with people of that age range, and it in a pretty fluid way given how he's old at heart, as well. i love how MC really feels like for once, a regressed elderly MC (since i feel like other old MCs who became younger always act really brazen/young or just senile, which is fun and all, but we rarely get this kind of mature, tricky and experienced regressed MCs who feel like those mischevious grandpas).
