The father was devastated to know that his daughter misunderstood and killed herself. The reason why the father gave her the dagger was to protect herself incase someone tries to hurt her and the knight or the guy that came in the cell right after she kills herself is the ML and he was actually supposed to help our FL get out of the cell but our FL misunderstood it and killed herself.
