he always loved the fl but he had to act like he didnt bcs he knows that the emperor will use her against him. Every night, he would always check up on her when she was a kid but he cant show the emperor that he's vulnerable around her. He always protects her as much as he could so he tries to stay away from her as much as possible to save her even if it hurts him as well. The father was devastated to know that his daughter misunderstood and killed herself. The reason why the father gave her the dagger was to protect herself incase someone tries to hurt her and the knight or the guy that came in the cell right after she kills herself is the ML and he was actually supposed to help our FL get out of the cell but our FL misunderstood it and killed herself.

I see, so do they go into detail again sbout how thr situation in the first timeline is after her death? (Like in the novel)

Honestly, I hate fathers like that on a personal level, even though there might be a reason for them to act cold. My father was never good at showing affection and it hurt. A lot. Mom always excused him by saying "he just doesn't know how to show his love", but you know what? That doesn't help you feel any better... (︶︿︶)
So, duke might have had a reason to act like an asshole, but he still deserves the agony after his only daughter died. Like, how the fuck should she know he planned to help her when he never showed a bit of affection to her?

she's a villainess lmao that's what villains do, let me remind you she's doing all of this to get revenge, yes she does get better in the end but the whole point of this story is to get REVENGE

I've read villainess stories they actually treated the ppl that were loyal good and protected them bc thry were important to her. They protect in exchabne for making use of them. She gives off the vibe she would throw anyone under the bus if it saved her. No offense but I dont like that type of Villainess. (Thats just personal preference) I also said she should get her revenge but i dont like the way she handles some stuff. The way she is now she isn't any better than the sister she hates for the way she acted... so I don't see the point, if she is gonna hate her sister for being like that but she is gonna act the same... (again that's bc I personally prefer that type but u can be of different opinion and like her ofc, maybe this is thr typical Villainess and I just encountered ones that were different from the typical ones or it's the other way around) ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

i actually prefer her this way. i'm tired of mcs having to be morally superior to everyone, like give me some spice. she isn't even close to a morally grey character, but i'll take what i can get.
