The last chapter still hasn't been released on here, so I bought chapter 68 on pocket comics. This is the first time I've ever spent money lol. Please enjoy this summary I did!
[ ] means that the quote comes directly from the boxed dialogue.
Kister leaves prison in "a future long after the incident". Kister still has the same appearance except now he has brown hair. Due to having a criminal record, he wanders from place to place and ends up finding a flyer for a traveling theater that is looking for actors. He gets hired and progressively gets promoted from an extra to a supporting actor and finally to the lead role. Ironically, the play he is leading is the same one he once had the opportunity to lead before the tragedy struck (The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde). Then, there is a small cut to the future where his last performance for this play is in New York during the wintertime. It's said that after this performance, they will be traveling around the US again.
Kister is alone on stage with the spotlight shining on him in a sea of audience. During his performance on stage, Kister looks back to the past. The flashback is of when Jonathan and Kister met during the interview that Jonathan was substituting in for his brother (chapter 3).
Kister back then said, "Ah, now I see. You are my..." This was cut off by the guard so we never got to know what he was about to say. However, it is revealed in the flashback that what Kister wanted to say was: [You are my love. A love worth giving my life for. ...Who else but you could possibly make me feel better? You know who I really am.]
"Accept me... for who I am."
As Kister beautifully gives his all to say this final line of his performance, he looks to the crowd and sees Jonathan April smiling at him during a shower of applause. Kister's eyes go wide in surprise. [The nightmarish play... has finally come to an end. After meeting an audience who recognized the real him... The actor who once sang of despair finally left the stage.]
Until he is out of breath, Kister chases after Jonathan leaving the theater. The two lock eyes in the light snowing weather with the sunset behind them. With a dazed and flushed look, Kister looks at Jonathan like he just won the whole world.
Jonathan smiles back at him.
[Now... the curtain rises... on a whole new play.]

Hear me out. I was tempted to drop this around the middle of season 1 because the story just wasn't deep enough. Boy was I wrong. The story starts ramping up around the later part of season 1 and explodes in season 2. There is a lot of drama and angst but I think it's done very well. THE ART GETS WAY BETTER IN SEASON 2 TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Y'all I'm serious give this a chance. The relationships between all the characters were way more complex and sincere than I thought it would be at first. I felt so much chemistry between all the characters. PLUS, MINYUL (AND THE ART) GETS A MAJOR GLOW UP IN SEASON 2! Overall, this novel is UNDERRATED.

Yall I'm just going to say what everyone is thinking. If you don't have the means to translate Korean into comprehensible English, please leave the project to others who can. This project started in 2017 and would have been fully translated into something people can understand if someone else had taken it on. I'm grateful for the effort, but these chapters take 4x more time to read, and the plot still isn't understood well at all. Then, it gets dropped for months at a time. The new translator is very good and is doing an amazing job, so I hope this project will finally stop moving around to different translation teams.
There are so many missing panels. Does anyone know how to fix this?
i was having the same problem :(
Yeah me too lol
