I like the change from the inheritance being represented by marriage titles to the clothes that they’re wearing. In the novel gongja was referred to as the “bride/wife” and raviel the “husband/groom” because she was inheriting the dukedom but that just felt kind of icky to me while reading because even though the gender roles are swapped they were still being upheld
