I mean the concept is interesting but I feel the author really banks on this mystery that she's dragged on for ages and then when we find out what is it, it really won't be all that amazing. It sort of annoying that the uke is so stupid and says, "Don't lie to me" and proceed to just accept his answer which wasn't even an answer. Then apparently they fuck the next chapter so like he really is DUMB bc you got your 'boyfriend' who's very crazy and lies to your face and you go YEA but his dick good. The plot is really meh. I can already see the plotholes before she reveals the 'secret'.
And yea some ppl might reply, "WHy are yOu ReADinG iT thEn?" Well because I want to see if it improves and is even worth it till the end. I wouldn't know if I didn't read it...DUH

I do agree with some of ur points now that they've been put into words, but trying to counter other peoples opinion by saying why do you guys like this so much? Is unessacary. But honestly I do think we're just used mediocrity in this genre (that we've normalized and enabled) that we when see an ounce of thought or a concept that doesn't revolves around just sex being put into a story we hop on the bandwagon and overhype it. But reading ur points, I do agree.

it's not being dumb its all about psychologia and manipulation, the uke was overwhelmed by childhood trauma that he forgot, i think he suffer from ptsd or something like that, he constantly feel empty and need to keep people by his side to feel stable and he find the person who made him feel stable and happy so of course he want to stay by his side, its hard to doubt the person you love and the person who help you to feel "normal", the top is manipulating him

I wouldn't say my question of why do you guys like this so much is unnecessary. The comment section is for that purpose. My thought process was just to put a thought provoking 'title' to it and I always question why a series is popular and not just popular just bc but bc lots of readers praise it for having great plot/writing ever. You also mentioned it doesn't revolve around sex and I disagree pointing to the immense amount of comments about how good his D is or how big it is. Not to mention the fact that the whole series, they been fucking left and right (as I suspect) to hold off on revealing the mystery and give tension. The author seems to be creating tension and buildup when really she's doing a poor job of building tension when its just sex every few chapters and a small small tiny hint of the hands doing something. I mean we're 40 chapters in and nobody has an clue to what these hands are and sure that's fine but to build tension, you gotta give us good enough meaningful hints.

EHH you say its all about psychology and manipulation, which I can see to a certain degree but isn't the uke in school with some type of uniform training to be police of some sort? (I might be totally wrong) but boy can't question anything? I went back to look for what he does and realized wait bruh Yeonwoo was the one who wrote the book Evaporation and then the author refers back to it ONCE just recently and I'm just seeing multiple moments in the first 10 chapters that really aren't memorable enough that even I someone who tends to remember things, completely forgot. The hands doing sexual things to the uke, Yeonwoo being the author, etc.
It so easy for an author to say its psychological without doing anything that really taps into that field. We don't know if the hands are real or a hallucination so I wouldn't call it psychological as I don't see much psychological about it. Sure Yeonwoo is gaslighting him a bit, author hints at it being psychological and there's hallucinations and "trauma". Over the course of 40 chapters, she sometimes emphasizes his trauma but most of it is left in the background. The hallucinations are probably real hands and its some magic psychic powers they have. NOW THAT would be called supernatural or fantasy, not psychological. I really doubt its actual psychological reasons to it. And even if she is doing a psychological theme, she's not doing a very good job. My point is you can't just string together some psychological elements and then call it a great plot. That's the kicker. People automatically assume the plot is great bc the work is "psychological" when really its HOW you execute it.

He's CHaNGeD....yea suuure. This is what happens when you gloss over development. Author keeps one of two tactics which is either gloss over the development with some words and narration aka quoted from Kyungsoo, "He's changing little by little". Maybe she should idk...SHOW don't TELL. OR she glosses it over by just having the characters fuck each other. It'll fuck all the shitty actions out of him AND give some readers' some lack of post-nut clarity at least temporarily. Oh wait I forgot one more technique, which is the "use your lover to fix you" trope. Sure surrounding yourself with good people who can support you is great but not if you're making them bend to your every need and treating them like a punching bag. Apparently according to lots of readers, he's ChANgEd they said, he's gotten chArACtER DeVeLoPmEnT.....they said.

Was expecting SOMETHING considering people's comments about how its sad and dark. I mean technically it was sad and dark because of suicide and rape but very poorly written. It seems the author was trying a Romeo and Juliet thing with the suicide but failed terribly at making even me, a super emotional person, feel no emotion at all for the characters. The characters might as well have been dolls because of how much personality they lacked. This was so dumb and pointless.

Stumbled upon this and read 9 chapters or so. It just seems so depressing? I skimmed the recent chapters and saw its basically more complicated with everyone cheating on everyone. Also I don't have time atm to read it but just wondering everybody's opinion after reading to the most recent chapters.

If you’re into agonizing drama with some insufferable characters then this is your speed.
MC isn’t bad neither is the black haired dude, you a lot feel for them.
Her husband can choke on his own dick
Niina(black haired dude) wife is frustrating as all hell
The four eyes glasses chick is annoying af and should go after single men
The rest of the cast exist
The true hero of this manga is a divorce lawyer
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭just my personal thoughts

I mean this manhwa is decent but by no means amazing. I don't understand why korean manhwas a lot of the time have such boring plot devices like Felix being so dumb to not realize he slept with Isaac before, that he's an omega, and that the son is his? Like how dumb can you be for being the "most powerful alpha" and one of the rich leaders of a gang(?). If the author is using this to keep it mysterious...its a poor choice bc the entire audience KNEW from the beginning that the son was his. The only semi mystery is why these people are chasing him but its not really all that compelling? It's pretty generic with Isaac having hidden some "docs" from the antagonist and now must retrieve them. Like you would think the author would by now delve into their pasts and what exactly Isaac AND Felix were doing 4 or however many years ago it was. Its just a lot of fucking and a lot of "I'm hiding my past" and "I'm trying to find out your past" for 30 chapters going NOWHERE. We didn't really gain any new info along the chapters so...
Sort of tired of manhwas gaining traction for shitty or at the most mediocre writing/story and pretty art. ahem* "Black Mirror" ( comparing to this story: again it's this stupid secret that has taken forever to find out, a bunch of sex, and the secret isn't THAT compelling nor are the characters that likeable) It's almost as if these authors are trying to pull a major twist in the story to shock viewers.

I see where you're coming from, but I think the plot definitely gets more complex, based on a spoiler I saw in Novelupdates:
"Four years ago Felix found an omega and became distracted, the omega that tied him and broke his arm which caused Felix to be caught by the enemy, which lead to him getting kidnapped and tortured for days. Felix hadn't been the same after that, his behavior became errated, that was the reason why he was so extremely violent and unpredictable, the reason why he couldn't remember Isaac. His memories where mixed, unreliable as he was severely injured."

Ok it does seem it gets a bit more complex based on that but you gotta admit...we're at chapter 30 and there is almost no indication of their past lives or what happened in the past to have altered their life significantly. Sure in that quote, it says Felix has never been the same after that but the story takes on a very upbeat, comedic, cheer-y tone throughout the entire 29 episodes and I have not seen anything remotely dark or complex about it. The thing is the author needs to work her way up to things and so far she hasn't laid the groundwork for Felix's "traumatic experience" at all. May I ask if even Isaac knows who Felix is? If he doesn't well damn (not in a good way). For an author to take a spin on the omegaverse genre she should've laid down the rules and how HER omegaverse works bc it seems Felix does not at all realize Isaac's an omega even tho they've been fucking for over 20 chapters.
In one chapter, Isaac mentions about never getting his heat ever again since 4 years ago. Like ummm HELLO? Author? Y--you there? You gonna explain ANYTHING in 29 chapters or they just gonna fuck with sparks flying around. There's no inner dialogue explaining their thoughts much or about what's happening. Half the time, they're taking strolls and vacations while people are supposedly hunting Isaac. Where are the stakes in this story? Where is the urgency? The supposed danger around the corner that could harm Benjamin? Where's Felix's traumatic past or if it wasn't traumatic but it changed him, where are the remnants of that? It looks to me he's completely fine and hasn't thought about what happened 4 years ago as if it never happened. Also if these 29 chapters were to develop their bond together, there is legit no indication of any chemistry going on here besides the sex with sparks. Isaac looks to be unbothered by anything and everything even about the supposed harm at "every corner" and Felix.
I mean I'm just here wondering why people praise this so much. Sure it's pretty and enjoyable through the many MANY sex scenes but for the story? Yea still looking for that.

To be fair, this is not too bad compared to some other more popular manhwa. While the plot is not amazing, at least it has one. There are a lot of really popular manhwa that is 90 percent smut and 10 percent everything else. It is obvious that is what people are looking for in Yaoi. Those who want better plot shouldn't be looking at Yaoi.

Thar's not completely true as I've seen quite a few yaoi mangas/manhwas do very well with both plot and sex/smut. Your statement of that we should not be looking for plot in yaoi is not a good perspective as any work that aims to make a story should have at least plot points or more substance. I wouldn't lower my expectations JUST bc its yaoi. I'm not "expecting" too much from this as its ADAPTED from a NOVEL and the fact that it sells itself as a manhwa WITH a plot and story. It's sold and marketed as if there's more to it when most of the time its sex. A lot of yaoi that doesn't have much plot isn't bad in itself bc they don't try to be something they're not. They clearly show throughout their panels and storytelling that you're just getting smut and a small sliver of a story. Like I said THIS on the other hand sells itself to be a in depth and complex story but turns out to not do much to further that story.

I'm not very into reading the novel of a manga/manhwa usually bc the manga has visuals and feels shorter/ more concise. I think it doesn't feel lacking in plot WHEN you don't think about the plot/story at all. In fact only when I thought about why this wasn't THAT good did I think and realize the plot is very mediocre.

Pray tell, which amazing plot you have seen before from Yaoi before? I'm curious. Give me some recommendation. I would love to read them.
By the way, I am not saying you should lower your standard. I am saying judging by the top most popular Yaoi in this site, it is clear that is not what people are reading Yaoi for. Perhaps you should realize that you are in the minority, and that is fine, coz I prefer something with substance as well. I just happen to think they are insanely rare.

Well that's true. It is less common but I wouldn't say that should stop anyone from criticizing the manga/manhwa.
Well I wouldn't say they were AMAZING but some have a good balance between sex and plot and some I just really liked the plot or general concept and it was done well(in general) but of course that is just in my opinion.

Yes great we now are moving forward slightly with how things have been revealed but seriously? The author is continuing her "special" next week? Don't get me wrong, the author can definitely do whatever she wants but am I the only one getting more frustrated as it seems to be her way of dragging the story further more? Like she could do the special AFTER the entire story has folded but instead decided to do it NOW when there's cliffhanger after cliffhanger. People already weren't happy when this story was dragging all this time and she wants to sprinkle in some reverse story special to distract us...sigh* She's got a tactic...that's for sure. One would think you would focus on your main story when its lacking a lot of substance rather than focus on a SIDE story.

Although this story wasn't as fleshed out as the others (not that the others were that fleshed out either), I preferred this couple WAY more in terms of dynamic and character personality. It just didn't feel like the author's usual semes who are super experienced, blonde, delinquent types. Her other works featured semes who were more nonchalant and unclear about their feelings while in this one, they're more clear for both characters but not very well conveyed to each other. However I thought at chapter 6, it initially said its "ongoing" but now its COMPLETED?!?!? Sort of disappointed that the author didn't extend the story to further build on their relationship, communication skills, and individual character growth.

So many people are insulting those who "complained" about the story but that is what a comment section is for.....for expressing opinions about the story regardless of having paid for it or not. Some saying "You knew from chapter one...". Oh how wrong this comment is. Nobody knows what will happen next in the story..,that's the whole point of reading it. Some people seem to not know how the real world works... negative comments or opinions are allowed to exist and be welcomed for further discussion. People can form negative opinions and to those who say they can't well...welcome to the real world. It is absolutely ridiculous that these people are telling others, they can't say anything bad about the story. Anybody can form an opinion....particularly a negative opinion... on any piece of work. Just because the author put in hard work, doesn't mean it automatically deserves praise. The end product actually has to be good objectively. Right now the story is going nowhere...and that is a fact. She looped it back around to the beginning where Seungho is raping Nakyum and almost every chapter is still sex/rape.
This manhwa has been FULL of people getting the brains and shit fucked out of them. Heck they fuck each other so hard, mental illnesses disappear into thin air and for some reason the transference of communication is through semen and lots of it.
Where are the people who said, "iT tAKes TIme to ChANge". I LOVE how the author thought she tried something by having Chowon say, "You can't expect me to change overnight...my medication isn't working" BRUH WHERE-WHERE is the CHANGE...she calling her audience out as if she changed him or gave him decent character development. AND if your medication not working..IDK speak to your doctor about CHANGING it? Same thing happened with the others...
Dojin and Hyesung: "You HaTE me? FINE I'll fuck the the shit out of you and magically my semen will make you lOVe me" (at least we're still better than Chowon and Kyungsoo)
Kungsoo and Chowon: You got issues such as obsession and have committed multiple crimes against innocent people and ONLY apologized for it without ever having to have any consequences? Bruh who cares? You're fucking gorgeous. Hell YEA I'll fuck you so hard it looks like I'm shitting in you.
Dojun and Heesoo: Ummm...no we--we don't partake in fucking our problems away...wait ...wHAt?!? the other couples have been fucking instead of communicating?......oooook BYE
"at least we're still better than Chowon and Kyungsoo"
HAHA ok dear.
HAHA try me
Dojun and Heesoo supremacy
"Hell YEA I'll fuck you so hard it looks like I'm shitting in you." lmao it really did look like he was trying to shit while fucking him
