Some people get their license and then don’t drive. Hence why he needs a refresher or something of the sort. He doesn’t seem like the type to own a car tbh.
Hahah I’m guilty of this too tho. I got my drivers license back in 2019, only drove for about 3 months, realized driving is too much stress and never touched the driving wheel since then. I guess I too, don’t have any redeeming quality…

He was asked for a driver’s license. It doesn’t take a genius to know they WILL ask you to drive. But he went along with it anyway.
My point is not that you’re incapable to drive even after getting your license (hard to understand for me because driving is like riding a bike. But I guess some people are more prone to be nervous and clumsy when developing certain physical/mechanical tasks), but that he’s blaming the assistant for his own lack of critical thinking. So, yes, he stupid for that, not for being incapable of driving.

I must say that it’s difficult to find toxic stories where both characters are equally toxic, bad, perpetrators and victims all at the same time.
They matched each other in the most insane ways. Even in their zero emotional intelligence. I’ve never read a story where the characters had no self awareness at all of their own feelings or stretched the miscommunication on purpose. It was a well rounded story where you can see what not having emotional intelligence, lack of self awareness and honesty can do to two people who actually love each other deeply from the very beginning. They’re gonna have to work around their mistrust their whole relationship because that’s the consequences of their actions. But at least they’re both aware of it and they’re both willing to work on it together.
That’s what I loved about this story! And imo it’s easy to find in a field like the ones expressed like showbizz or with someone having lots of money/beauty/etc. I love that it showed how they were toxic bc of how that line of business is (others can also be used too) but it can happen so it’s not unreasonable or unrealistic. It did show morals to them for not wanting to be the type to want to sell their bodies (besides hiding their love). Which is not something we see. I feel like this POV was the rich guy POV of the BLs troupe (the one we never “see” bc the MC is the sappy weak bottom who goes for the rich strong top troupe) so this was fun. I also feel like the author was like what’s a typical BL —yeah I’m doing the opposite for everything but in the best way!
At least I won’t have to put up with those annoying notes anymore.
The translator spent the who story trying to advocate and arrogantly pretending they’re a better writer than the author. You gotta have some nerve to be plugging your fanfic in every single chapter of this story. The nerve to think you are a better writer than the original? Writing a story with 79 parts and still incapable to wrap it up?
Writing wholesome things and extra long stories doesn’t make you a good writer.
Every single person bashing this story for being toxic didn’t understand a single thing. This story was never about making amends, or character development. But y’all were so deep in your victim mentality that you didn’t have any maturity or brains to understand the underlying messages of the story.
Well, I’m glad the author is coming out with another story where it seems the bottom is the abusive one. More to enjoy. I hope the infant readers leave the writer alone though.

I don’t find any underlying messages other than the author wanted to indulge their sadistic fantasies, and good for them! I don’t have a problem with that. But I think it’s incorrect to claim that this story has underlying messages deeper when it’s straight up rape. That’s just my opinion
